I feel sympathy for our country, low income people are now suffering to survive yet inflation and recession keep increasing daily, many families can't even enhance the good cost of living anymore. You've helped me a lot Sir Brian! Imagine I invested $50,000 and received $190,500 after 14 days

This is exactly the kind of roadmap I needed! I love the fund launch formula - it breaks down the process into manageable steps. I'm going to focus on finding that "asymmetrical risk" deal first, and then move on to framing out my fund. Thanks for the clear and concise breakdown!

What type of bank account one open when starting a Fund
@bridger_pennington8 күн бұрын
Starting a fund typically involves opening a business bank account for operations and a custodial account to hold investor funds and investments. It helps to choose a bank familiar with fund structures and regulatory compliance.

Hi , is there any difference between the private placement memorandum (PPM) and the Prospectus ?
@bridger_pennington8 күн бұрын
A Private Placement Memorandum (PPM) is used for private offerings to inform potential investors about risks and terms, usually for funds or private companies. A Prospectus is for public offerings and is filed with the SEC, providing detailed info about a company or fund when offering securities to the public

Hi, what happened to the preferred 8% fee to LP´s, are they not common anymore?
@bridger_pennington8 күн бұрын
The 8% preferred return for LPs (Limited Partners) is still pretty common, especially in private equity and real estate funds. The actual rate can vary depending on the fund's strategy and market conditions - some funds might offer 6% to 10% or even structure it differently. It really depends on the deal and the manager's approach!

How much capital donyou need to start PE fund
@bridger_pennington8 күн бұрын
There's no strict minimum, but starting a private equity fund often requires at least $1 million to $5 million to cover initial investments, legal fees, and operational costs. Some smaller funds start with less, but raising more capital helps with credibility and deal opportunities. This is for informational purposes only and not financial advice

I’m a little confused on how the multiple gets expanded in the laundromat example at the beginning. Can you sell it at a higher multiple simply because it’s making more revenue?
@bridger_pennington8 күн бұрын
Increasing revenue can sometimes lead to a higher multiple because the business may appear less risky and more attractive to buyers. Higher earnings or growth potential can justify a higher valuation multiple, especially if the business shows improved efficiency, scalability, or consistency in cash flow.

I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Charlotte Miller.

I was wondering if you could go over something like a fund of funds. I want to start a fund of funds with friends and family to pool capital to invest in other private equity funds but I'm not sure thats possible because of the accredited investor SEC laws even if I were to get my series 65, I'm not sure if I could raise non accredited capital to invest in funds that require accredited investors
@bridger_pennington8 күн бұрын
"Great question! Starting a fund of funds to pool capital and invest in private equity is definitely possible, but you're right that accredited investor rules can complicate things. Even with a Series 65, there are still restrictions on raising capital from non-accredited investors if the underlying funds require accredited status. I'd recommend looking into Reg D offerings and consulting a securities attorney to explore your options. This is a tricky area, so professional guidance can help you navigate it!
