I love both Eloise and Pen, hopefully they will recover their friendship soon. TBH i admire Pen, because at the end of the day Pen doesnt have a good position in the society (she doesnt have a suitor; neither a supporting family like El) so she find a way how to be heard and make money. SLAY😂

I'm all Team Pen. I can relate to alot that she goes through. For me, the friendship always is interesting to see. It's always Eloise talking about what she likes and doesn't like but she rarely asked Pen about her own desires. Maybe that is because she keeps it to herself because she knows that Eloise doesn't feel the same way about wanting a family of her own. I find it the most interesting that Pen has been in love her brother (ever since she met him) and Eloise doesn't even pay attention to it. Most of the time I feel that Pen keeps a lot to herself because thats how she protects herself and becomes the version of the friend that Eloise would accept. I love Eloise and I hope that in Season 3 they will repair their friendship.

I have no idea how they're going to repair her relationship considering the fact that Eloise's now a loose women. She was alone unchaperoned with the man that wasn't her husband from the lower class.
@juanitaguerra58645 ай бұрын
@@niyah7139that’s not true, Lady Whistledown said she was unchaperoned with political radicals plural, she didn’t single out Theo. Eloise is not ruined, it’s a scandal yes but nothing she can’t survive.

4:57 There has been little hints of Colin suspecting Eloise of being Whistledown throughout the season but you have to be paying attention and maybe even be a little Eagle 🦅 eyed to catch it. He’s been giving a lot of suspect looks 👀

I'm team Penelope! She has it hard especially being the youngest sister in a somewhat despised family. being Lady Whistledown is the only way she can shine, although it's in secret.

16:12 Does anyone know what that tune the violins were playing? I've heard it before (with a few more violins) on an audiobook of 'Pride and Prejudice'.

If Friedrich from last season (the Prince Daphne was nearly engaged to) was the nephew Charlotte was telling Edwina about, I hope we get to see just a glimpse of them in later seasons. I can see them walking arm in arm with each other chatting. They'd make a nice couple. Edwina speaks so many languages already she could easily learn German, and I'm hoping she'd teach him Hindustani at least. Plus it'd be a great way to get revenge on her grandparents - either not inviting them to the wedding, or arranging a formal but chilly reconciliation thanks to Lady Danbury's considerable diplomatic skills, but having them seated in the back row of the church so they'd be basically publicly shunned and feeling humiliated as their own cruelty and snobbishness has robbed them of a chance to claim relations to both a Viscountess and a Princess.

16:44 A bit of me is still wondering if Pen did that to try and tell Eloise. Most likely I know that she just got a little carried away.

17:28 I know that Lady Featherington has basically cast Penelope in the role of 'the daughter who'll take care of me when I'm old', but I still wonder if she was hoping that she had caught Colin in a compromising situation with Penelope so that she'll be able to force him into proposing to her. It would be a lot of relief to her if she could get another daughter married and we know she's not above blackmail to get what she wants.

I don't have much reason to be concerned, I know, and seasons 7 and 8 haven't even been talked about yet (people are too focused on getting seasons 5 and 6 confirmed at least), but for some reason I'm concerned about Gregory and Hyacinth. I worry about them both getting caught up in the turmoils of love after watching their siblings love stories all their lives. I don't know why, but when I think about them growing up I keep thinking of this scene in the 1980s BBC series of 'Love In a Cold Climate' (based off two books written by Nancy Mitford, 'The Pursuit of Love' and 'Love in a Cold Climate' - they're part of a series and are supposed to take place around the same time so in the 80s and in the early 2000s the BBC combined them into one show, a year or two ago amazon adapted 'The Pursuit of Love' as a solo series - side note, yes I'm requesting a reaction to all three shows on this channel once you've finished the roughly 50 shows you're already watching and roughly 50 shows on your 'to watch next' list): "And another thing. Please remember, the arts are not merely for pleasure. They provide consolation and philosophy. Sometimes even explanation as well, when things go wrong." "When what goes wrong?" "When love grows cold, and there's a betrayal of heart and trust. You'll see, pretty Linda. Oh yes, you of all people will see." For some reason I keep seeing Gregory and Hyacinth as the kind who may risk heartbreak when they grow up. But this is probably just something I'm thinking up with no evidence or reason to, my imagination gets like that sometimes. I don't think that conversation was in the original book itself but the point still remained that the main character Linda never even considered that love might ever turn cold or go wrong. In 'The Pursuit of Love' Nancy Mitford teaches us the same lesson Jane Austen taught us in 'Sense and Sensibility' (even if both times the lesson was unintentional): If you have a fixed idea of what love will be for you, either in circumstances or in personality, you will run the risk of waiting for something that will never happen, of missing love when it presents itself to you because it didn't match your idea perfectly, or of thinking that you have found love exactly as you thought it would be and end up making or narrowly avoid making the biggest mistake of your life. Of course there's nothing wrong with knowing what you want, but don't limit yourself to how love might enter your life.

Queen Charlotte is next! As for Tream Penelope versus Teqm Eliose, I am Team Neither. I think Penelope did the most wrong, but Eliose is and will always be a privileged white woman from he most respected family in the Ton, so she will also be protected. This season was such an emotional season because it focused more on the inner struggles Anthony and Kate had that were holding them back from being the people they really were meant to be. I love Kate and Anthony. I feel they are th best suited coulping we have had in Bridgerton world because they understand each other in a way that no one else does. I'm so glad we will get to see more of Kate and Anthony's relationship in season 3. I can't wait for Queen Charlotte next.

Book 3 focuses on Benedict, but the third season instead is going to focus on Colin and Penelope. Interesting to see how you can come back from telling all your friends that you would 'never dream of courting' anyone. Eloise's book was book 5 in the season but some reckon that her season will be season 4 as her story is supposed to be affected by Penelope's. All we know if that season 4 was confirmed by Netflix soon after season 2 had started filming. Hoping we won't have to wait long for season 5 at least to be confirmed.

Whoever it is that Eloise ends up with (those who've read the books, remember no spoilers for Andres, besides we don't know how much they're going to follow the books), a bit of me still hopes for this kind of an ending for her. It's from an Edward Eager book, one of his seven Magic books, not saying which one, just recommending them to anyone who's interested, where at some point in their adventures the books focus group of children meet a man and a woman, and they later see the man calling on the woman for tea and hear him complaining about how bumpy the drive up the woman's house is while she's teasing him about his driving skills, and when he leaves he kisses her hand. We see them visiting each other or meeting each other in town at various times throughout the book, and at the end one of the children comments 'They're going to get married though, aren't they?' and another child says something like 'I don't think so. I think they're both very set in their ways, and that they're just fine going on the way they are.' I know it's nearly impossible for a woman in Regency England to have that kind of a life, but I still think it's the sort of relationship Eloise would like, where they're not married, they're not engaged, they're not even officially courting, they just see each other even if it's just for a chat over some cake, they each have their own house, and their own daily activities, patterns, responsibilities, hobbies and their own independent lives, they're just a big part of each others lives with no official label on them. They enjoy each others company and that's enough for them.

Penelope🍑 & Eloise🍐 Peach🍑 & Pear🍐 Production Pen🦢& El🪿Publishing House🏤 I’m Team Peneloise. Pen & El has loved each other there whole lives. There quarrel Changes nothing it’s only gonna make them stronger. Eloise is still gonna named her daughter and first child 👧(Penelope) And there gonna learn to value there friendship more especially Eloise because Penelope seems to be the only one with the patient to deal Eloise’s OCD Behaviour & hyper, active personality full-time when everybody else gets a bit frustrated with her. The fact Penelope and Eloise both have closet space in each other rooms because they sleep together more than they sleep alone. Penelope brushes Eloise hair and holds her at night when she’s having traumatic memories during lightning ⛈️ storm of when her mother almost died. And Pen literally call El her soulmates & Salvation in her inner monologue and personal thoughts 💭 While I’m here, let me just explain how stupid Eloise🍐 plan was. Eloise🍐 was accused by the Queen herself of being Whistledown and was telling Penelope🍑that she intended to LIE TO THE QUEEN👸🏽and pretend she was Whistledown🪶to protect her family. Penelope🍑writing about her visit to a political rally saved not only Eloise🍐but the entire Bridgerton🐝family from a ruin which they never would have been able to come back from. Just look at how the Queen👸🏽 wanted to shun Lady Mary🐦simply for leaving high society because she fell in love with & married someone outside of the ton, and that was nearly twenty years earlier! Eloise🍐could not have kept up her lie and when the Queen👸🏽discovered that she wasn’t really Whistledown🪶, who knows how she might have reacted. this is all taking place in the early 18th century and Eloise🍐would have lied to the reigning sovereign. Disloyalty to the crown 👑was considered a form of treason at the time. Not only could the Queen have written off the Bridgerton🐝family and ruined them forever, she could have decided to exile Eloise🍐from England🏴 for her audacity. And if Queen Charlotte🦚were feeling particularly vicious🐍, she could have decided to revert all the Bridgerton🐝family holdings, property and titles back to the crown👑as punishment, essentially stripping their family of everything and leaving them all destitute outcasts. The idea of lying & intentionally making a fool of the reigning monarch during the 18th century is crazy & Eloise🍐was insane to even consider it. Penelope🍑 may have broken her friend’s trust but even Colin🗺️pointed out that Penelope🍑has sense when Eloise🍐does not. Pen🦢did the only thing she could to prevent Eloise🍐from doing something dangerously ruinous. I believe when everything comes out, the Bridgerton🐝family will be stunned and shocked. They may not be happy with Penelope🍑but I think they will recognize that she was instrumental in protecting them from multiple disasters and if anyone is going to appreciate that, it’s Violet🕊️, Anthony⏱️and Kate🪷.

29:28 And its her mother who puts her in those colours anyhow - remember back in episode 1 when she first attacked her family through Lady Whistledown by calling her mother 'tasteless' and 'tactless'? So why are people laughing at her for her mothers questionable taste in clothes?

Soooo..now you know the reason for my extreme dislike of Penelope at this point. She dared to say she was protecting Eloise when she was protecting herself and to think she believes she did something great. Great for her, perhaps, but NO ONE else. Her joy is ruining others even people who have done nothing to harm her. Enough of her. The Sharmas are so GORGEOUS! Understand the Dad thing. Missing mine too. Loved Anthony with Gregory, finally being a nurturing big brother to a sibling who did not know his father. And HAIL Queen Charlotte! #TEAM ELOISE all day long!❤❤. I'm team Edwina lol, I'm not down with the sister-man stealing 😂. Both Eloise and pen made some good points Eloise was still raw from what happened recently about her man and her family. Pen wasn't prepared to ever be found out like you didn't have your arguments prepared girl. I'm more team Eloise, poor thing, maybe they'll be friends again but there's more drama to come. Colin Colin Colin, they better give his character a major arc because why is he so dense??

I feel like on every rewatch I'm more and more Team Pen. I dont get why people get so angry at her as if she gets away w everything. Theres not a single character that doesnt get theirs. Everything Pens done left her more and more alone each season. In s1 she loses her father, her family loses her fortune, and she loses Colin. This is on top of no one respecting or loving her as a person despite, as u stated last season, being there for others. In fact, the worst of what she has done was after she exhausted all options and was backed into a corner. In this season, she lost the last of what she had; Eloise and Colin. So now it feels like she has nothing. With her family and the Bridgertons, she feels no one in this world loves her. Eloise hit some good points; rightfully so, but Eloise is so unaware of society and her own standing. I think both girls are hurt, but i think Penelope has been hurt worse. Eloises heartbreak on top of scandal and betrayal is 100% valid, but per usual, she can only see red right now. Pen has been beaten and battered all her life and this and Colin i think finally broke her. I dont think she'll ever be the same. Im excited for a Penelope thats matured and has to learn to be loved like Simon and Kate have. Thats like a reoccurring thing here. The Bridgertons grew up with love, and their love interests grew up without it.

I understand the dissension between El and pen - they both have valid points, but I stand with Pen. Eloise said something that stuck with me "tonight was the first time I heard you" So true, it has always been all about El. She never saw that Pen doesn't have the supportive mother and siblings. Pen's family is on the edge of financial ruin every season. Pen was considered unattractive/without value. I don't think Pen's motivation was money, as much as it was power. She's powerless in the Ton. Lady W is, really, all she has.
