You have talked for 5 minutes and have not mention one thing about the tires that your are suppose to be reviewing. You did mention the temperature like 3 times, ok we get it it’s friggin cold. But no mention of how tires are on wet road to slushy road or how tires handle passing up a car in the slush. You could at least tell us why you choose these tires over other during the first 5 minutes. Take it as constructive advise on your first KZbin video.

After living in Chicago and using Michelin pilot sport summer tires in blizzards, it’s time to get these. Just ordered today. Bring it on weekend blizzard coming up

Thank you for your review, Vincent. I'm a woman. I live in Upstate NY, 25 degrees during the winter is considered a "heatwave" around here, and the amount of snow is unbelievable. I wish your review showed what it's like driving through unplowed, heavy, wet snow. Thank you.

Later that year I drove in deep snow but I changed it up to Studded snow tires so that I could go anywhere the blizzaks were just used as a winter mix of everything tire mostly wet driving which they did very well and transitioning to some snow but not a storm... I am not using the Blizzaks this coming winter I will be using the Mitchlin CrossClimate 2 for I have seen alot of great reviews on these tires please look them up... And I will be doing a full review on those when I change them out this fall winter of 2021-2022

@Sue It’s a new design for all seasons which doesn’t get hard in cold temperatures. They are not as good as a Blizzak or X-Ice Snow but they are true All-Weather tires that can be used year-round. If you get a lot of snow you might wish you had true winter tires so you should drive carefully but AWD also helps too.

I have used Michelin X-Ice and X-Ice 2 previously. This time I am thinking of getting Blizzaks. I like the aggressive pattern. The Michelins are very good tires and very long wearing.

Don't forget that winter tires need to be mounted to spin in a certain direction. ws90's show direction of spin between blizzak and bridgestone emblems. ws80's wow ws90 even better stats. I just got blizzak dm-v2 for my new XT Onyx edition. 4 to 7 inches predicted for twin cities tomorrow great test for the new blizy tires. Good video FYI.

I've had ws80's the last two winters on my 2017 fusion sport, and the max snow depth I went through was over 14"! Blizzaks are some incredible tires. I had over half of my grille packed with snow, but I just kept doing donuts (and then easily pulling away) like there wasn't anything there. Hard not to love these tires

@@Joe.0oo I agree! Blizzaks are fantastic on my AWD Mazda CX-30 where I live in the mountains on snow and ice!!!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻

We had the DMV2s on my wifes 08 RAV4. They were amazing, did great in the ice and snow in northern utah. I would have never believed studdless tire could do so well.

well ,i used to have an Toyota HighLander and Blizzak ,,,i dont remember the no but it was the before WS90 and they were super,,,way better than Michelin Ice that are to much $ for their performance.Yes the Blizzar dont last to long but thats the price to "stay on the road" .This year i changed the Highlander for an Sienna FWD and i just baught 4,WS90 brand new.Front wheel drive vehicule can react weird with directional tires like the toyo,,beware of that ! we have sown,rain,cold,,,slush here in Temiscouata,Quebec and i live in a rural zone,,we will see how the Sienna will go Gef Riviere-Bleue,Quebec.

Used these tires over the weekend at government camp/timberline. Loved them, felt great in the snow in my FWD Acura TL. Not so great on ice but there is definitely an improvement from all weather tires.

AWD is actually better than snow tires, significantly better so you should still drive defensively, it’s definitely worth it to buy snow tires if you have FWD. We had a really bad wipeout hitting some black ice in a minivan once with FWD and All-Seasons. It almost destroyed the tires. It’s the main reason we won’t go back to driving a car, only SUV’s with AWD and snow tires
@jadenbertrand7114 Жыл бұрын
@@SCraig-Handsomeno awd is not better than snow tires. AWD does not help you stop lol
@SCraig-Handsome Жыл бұрын
@@jadenbertrand7114 True… I’ve been driving with both recently and FWD with snow tires is actually safer for stopping than AWD, especially if you have a Helical Slip Diff… can be just as good or better in a lot of situations. I’ve driven a lot of winters in All-Seasons with FWD and never had an accident but since I switched to AWD it was much better. Recently I added snow tires and you just feel a lot safer in any conditions. Usually I avoid the bad snowstorms anyway since I can work remotely but both my vehicles are AWD with either Blizzak or X-Ice now. You just don’t worry about stopping of sliding anymore
@canadian12332 жыл бұрын
I have tried Blizzaks before, but I found them to wear out 2-times faster than other less-performing tires, so I switched to one of the other brands that gave 20% less performance on ice/snow, but 2-times as much life on dry roads.
@vincentmills40622 жыл бұрын
Yea the ones I reviewed were down 50% in one season but I am a uber lyft driver
@brentpierce75852 жыл бұрын
Blizzaks are great but yes they wear out fast in dry and especially hot weather. I left the Blizzaks on my scion xb for spring and summer. I did the same thing with the same car with Firestone winter force 2's the winter force 2 last about twice as long.
@SCraig-Handsome2 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing, I got a 60K warranty with X-Ice Snow on my CRV but just bought a Kona N-Line so I might go with LM005. The compound has better wear now but safety is more important. Alpin 6 is a good option for Michelin, Goodyear and Continental are also great options for UHP Winter Tires

I love these tires. HUGE difference.

I has Blizzax on my 2001 Volvo S60 , not AWD, and in an Idaho Falls winter snow with over fresh 16 “ snow on the road, they were the best traction . I loved them on ice and snow, mountain roads were no big deal at all. However, the tire sipe wears out quick on dry roads, so I would change them off whenever the roads were in great shape and I kept them for 8 winters. Loved them , but now have a full size 4wd truck for all driving , due to what I need a vehicle to accomplish.

Thanks for the review. You repeat at about 7:22. During the 'dead air' time after 9:30, I was hoping you would describe what you were feeling. What was the depth of the snow (hard to see in the 2-dimension of TV)? How good were the tires at grabbing the snow? Did they give you confidence? Did they perform better than other sets of snow tires you have had? Etc.

My Chevy Blazer 4WD ('95) didn't even need snow tires in the Lake Huron snowbelt. 15" snow squall, drove through unplowed roads like a plow. Would one of you review snow tires on a Dodge Caravan please?

That incessant, low pitched droning sound, is that from the tires?

Might be the tires and the heater fan and maybe I had the window crack open a little

I have the WS90's on our Honda Accord, yes the tires are noisy on dry pavement... But get them on snow and ice, they perform extremely well, like the car is riding on rails. Braking is scary good too, you really have to be careful not to get plowed into with these, rear end collisions. I've just purchased our second set. Best to only run them in the worst months, and take them off until the next winter. I have not even looked at the other brands, as these do everything I need them to do in our Michigan winters.
@45eno2 жыл бұрын
@@michaelwright1602 Yeah we don't have the same level of winters you get but I still run Blizzaks on a dedicated set of rims. I swap them out myself with my air impact right before forecast calls for winter conditions. I end up only using them about 2-3months a year. They do wear quickly but the whole point of a 2nd set of winter tires is excellent grip so going for a tire that lasts longer but only a little better than all-season is not what I want.

ive had studded snow tires and blizzaks, blizzaks are much better snow tires
