I'd never seen Bridget Everett in anything, but I'd seen her on other talk shows as well...& she almost always comes off as brash, crude, & over the top...despite even seemingly holding herself back...but humble & sweet as well. So when I saw the tab to Somebody Somewhere on HBO, I reluctantly decided to record & watch one of the episodes, because I already have too many shows I haven't gotten to. But after it recorded, I thought I should watch the pilot episode first, to familiarize myself with the characters......& I ended up watching EVERY episode of both previous seasons in chronological order, within 2-3 days. It just blew me away! Review: This is an AMAZINGLY well-written & acted show. EVERY single individual associated with it is stellar at what they do: Writing...casting...acting...directing...editing...you name it! But what stands out the most, is this woman's incredibly natural acting ability! She is simply AMAZING! Do NOT miss this show...you'll be extremely glad you didn't. :-)

This show is so important. I laughed, cried, and had a painful childhood flashback during each episode. I rewatch each episode several times. Please do holiday specials for Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. That would give us almost another season each year. YESSSSSSSS!

I absolutely love Somebody Somewhere!! You don't see shows like this too much anymore. A lot of the shows nowadays are just so focused on immediate gratification of stimulation and on shock value/ or drama just for the sake of drama to keep people sucked in despite how it can erode the storyline, just to gain viewers. This show is so relatable because it's so honest and vulnerable and every character in this show has something that I think pretty much anyone can identify with. Or has a relationship that is similar. Or even has self-worth or confidence issues especially after undealt with trauma. The writing is brilliant and it's so awesome to see the evolution of the characters in even the most mundane scene that would otherwise maybe be cut out in another show.. I love Bridget! She's so dynamic. Everyone needs a Joel and a Sam to bring that balance to their lives. The acting is phenomenal. You legit feel like you're just observing someone's everyday life. I really wish this show would get picked up, but if it doesn't they should still be so insanely proud of what was created.❤❤

Brilliant & beautiful show. Almost imperfectly-perfect. Yes, I did that on purpose. My brother is a childhood cancer survivor, and many have asked me "What was that like?". Somebody, Somewhere is what that was like. Most other shows seem two dimensional in their portrayal of grief. Somebody Somewhere captures it ALL, in its 3 dimensions, every viewpoint. I love great writing, and the Peabody award for this TV Show, shows I'm not the only one obsessed with this shows brilliance! Someone please pick it up for a season 4!
