what we know so far is that the Queen of Hearts was once a girl named Bridget, she came from Wonderland and was a newcomer to the Merlin Academy, a magical school were future heroes and villains learned their arts Bridget was friendly and a walking bundle of positivity, she wanted to befriend every one, and her very first friend was Ella, a girl suffering from neglectful home life however, Bridget's personality take a 360 degree turn after a cruel prank was played on her by Uliana, the baby sister of Ursula and the leader of the school bullies Uliana tricked Bridget into eating a cake that turned her into a monster, and although the effects were temporary, Bridget was traumatized, and to make matters worse, Ella wasn't there to help her, because she had gotten busy dating Prince Charming Bridget then turned into a heartless and vicious tyrant that would cut off the heads of people who displeased her, she returned to Wonderland and took over as the ruler of that kingdom, reigning with an iron fist

This movie had so much potential but wasted it so BAD. I was tremendously excited at the announcement of this movie even though the cast was mostly new. And Rita Ora as the Queen just ATE and left no crumbs and her outfits all SLAY. But let's be real this movie's plot flopped so hard it's crazy. The climax (if you could even call it that) was a major letdown because the main issue got resolved THAT easily, like giving candy to a baby. We didn't see the main characters struggle to achieve their goals, and the movie as a whole felt heavily rushed. Not to mention the plotholes like how did Cinderella and Fairy Godmother go to the same school? Why were the villains banished to the Isle of the Lost if they were at some point just normal teenagers? Why was the Red Queen not banished to the Isle in the first place if she was evil?? Why did Red and Chloe need to go to the past and stop Uliana form getting the book, if the book was hexed and would have stopped the VKs anyway?

@@Koboreso queen of hearts should have remained evil tbh. Instead of messing with the past and erasing all those things that happened, they should have made it about red becoming more open, helping her mom realise a level of forgiveness and that her daughters feelings are important. Changing the past ruined everything! Especially because there was a good chance Cinderella could have been behind that or was apart of it…

@@Koboreso Yes it was rushed with a lot of plotholes and it felt very easy almost too easy and where was the lesson? , but you can already answer 2 of your questions. The vks weren’t banished to the isle of the lost yet cause auradon wasn’t formed yet. The queen of hearts wasn’t banished cause they just closed off the rabbit hole, that was easier.

@@syray9251 then that explanation is crap and retcons everything we know about descendants. Maleficent said in the official books that she woke up at the island AFTER she got killed by the prince. And the queen of hearts was already evil in the original , so them making her younger self sweet and kind here already contradicts a lot with the original canon. wish they did a better job explainin the past "auradon"

Well in the original rhyme that mentions the Queen of Hearts, it says "She baked some tarts all on a summers day" so it isn't that much of a leap to make her a baker or someone who enjoys and is good at baking.

Mess with the past and the space-time continuum didn't imploded, that a new one. But as Uma hinted, this might be only a delayed reaction and trouble just over the horizon. Either way, I have faith Bridget still lives within the Queen of Hearts, as a wounded soul, hidden beneath the Queen's bluster, waiting to be healed and remember who she truly is.

The only plot hole that gets me is the best Aurora timeline. Maleficent must have cursed a teenage aurora as a teen but according to the classic story that's not true

@SeraEMS it seems like time works differently in this world, like Maleficent is a teen, and they say it's been decades since they were at school. So she could have cursed her in her mid 20's early 30s, and then 20 years later, Decendats 1 takes place because it all depends on when the Isle was created. Because the actual adult characters seen to be in their 50's but they might be a lot older.

Rita Ora who played grown up Bridget is from Albania and apparently full white. Meaning she's not mixed. People say she's black passing as in not black but could totally pass a one.

She's not white she's ethnic Albanian and that's still a person of color and would be protected under the human rights act so therefore. Play still cast a white Caucasian American speaking girl. Considering the whole chronicle is a “things are not just black and white” theme I have a guess. If Bridgette wasn’t all evil and Ella wasn’t all that righteous then charming….. you guessed it charming wasn’t all that charming and he helped with the prank to be able to dance with Ella without interruption. And looking at it that way I assume Ella was told charming helped and still chose him so she tells Bridgette to brush it off (bad move since Ella whole character is “righteous” and just) causing Bridgette to shut her out in mistrust and betrayal. She graduates and the inhabitants of wonderland try her as well and by law off with their heads. Bridgette gets addicted to her newfound power of control and the fear she can emit in others much like the ptsd she feels. Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the making of a tyrant. Best way to hurt someone is to hurt the one they love and it’s no coincidence Ella shoes was dropped in front of charming (who coincidentally knew Ella was in danger…almost as if he was lured there) “I’m not so funny now am I”🤍❤️🤍

This movie didn't end right. Red and Chloe came back to the present with Cinderella grounded/ unable to go to be ball, and the villains only got detention. They could still show up and wreck the big dance. Maybe a sequel could address these plot holes.
