@unseengtv7586 kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpObhqGaeK9lja8si=fpm99Ujfc3d0GfoY I rather have him say it himself. 1.5 or 1.8 of his own money. BMF never put up bread for Jeezy like that. Now wacc blue yea but Jeezy had his own
I remember when this album first dropped my school sent notes home that any student wearing a snowman shirt would be sent home. They called them “drug paraphernalia”😂⛄️

This album is CLASSIC. Quick story: I was in college when Jeezy first started popping outside of Atlanta. We went to South Beach for spring break and saw Dodge Magnums with BMF logos everywhere. We had no idea who they were and almost got into a fight with some of them in front of a club that turned out to be where Jeezy shot one of his first music videos. We got back home and saw a Beef or Smack DVD and saw BMF with the mayor of Miami and they were explaining who they were. We dodged multiple bullets lol. Then we started hearing Jeezy's mixtapes everywhere. Then this album dropped that summer. We were in Greensboro, NC and literally every car playing music loud was playing something off this album. I didn't even like Jeezy's mixtapes, but I couldn't deny this album. Cool Breeze (from the Dungeon Family) is who I think gets credited with bringing the idea of trap music to rap, TI started the genre of Trap Music, but Gucci and Jeezy really popularized it as a genre everybody wanted to be part of.

Yeah Jeezy is Trap as I knew it. I dunno what Trap is now, I searched some up and I don't even recognize it. I have no idea when that change happened tbh but this album is genuinely a defining monumental point in rap. Kids just won't get it and I feel old saying this ish.

I remember when this dropped when I was young and it felt like entire new era somehow. Kids genuinely won't understand and I feel so old saying that. So many fucking insane beats and the album was just so different from everything in the mainstream at that point and Jeezy rides them perfectly with those adlibs as well. This album felt like a true defining moment. Standing Ovation, Trapstar, Air Forces, And Then What, Bottom of the Map, the bass on Get Ya Mind Right....every single song, the album is flawless from front to back. I'm a T-R-A-P-S-T-AR.....

I think a lot of folks forget about the timing of when this album came out. My cousin from the south put me on to the Trap or Die mixtape before most folks in Chicago knew about Jeezy. So when this album dropped and they heard the very first track, it was absolutely crazy. I remember we were at a BBQ in the park out south and I just played the album out my car. Everyone was like who is that?
