Thank you for feeling that way. 🙌Anywhere you watch something Brie related, many people are being incredible mean and hateful. 😢

The Oscar IS already Brie's. No other nominee deserves it more than her. GO BRIE !! AWSOME performances by Brie and the AMAZING Jacob. Certainly the best movie of the year.

This film is INCREDIBLE. I saw it yesterday in the UK and can't stop thinking about it. It's a must see. Brie and Jacob should both get an Oscar because they are 2 very special actors.

I’m a person that doesn’t cry in movies often. When Jack was in the police car and Joy came running up and they were crying and hugging, I started crying happy tears.

I can't be the only one who watches a movie and when the actress or actor plays in a really big movie you're shocked when you find out it's the same actress...or actor. I really should do more research 😂 I watched this movie a few years ago, watched the unicorn store and hopefully am going to see captain marvel

INCREDIBLE FILM, all the way around. Brie Larson is a Gem and I wish that she had stayed away from the Marvel Film but Also excited to see how she plays the character.

There are very different aspects to consider here. Fans always want their favorite actors/musicians etc. to chose the artful, meaninful with message route. After doing a lot of "research" about Brie's career, things got a lot clearer. It was kinda "funny" when Brie was interviewed around Room and talked about meaningful roles. Now she's mostly playing in huge blockbusters. But we forget the reality behind the camera. Brie has been in the business since she was 7. She never had any leading role until she got the more or less leading role in "Short Term 12" in 2003 and she got very very lucky that she this movie served as the audition tape for "Room". During that time, Brie went to 1000s of auditions (watch her very own youtube videos about auditions). She only got minor roles. She has a failed music career. She suffered from eating disorders. She's introverted, private, shy and socially awkward. She's far from your avarage movie star. And there are probably things we don't know about her. After Room, Brie said she wanted to play something different because Room was so extremely exhausting. With her Oscar she played in "Kong", a small role but it got her attention. Then she got offered the role of Carol Danvers which she rejected twice because of everything that comes along with playing a superhero. Fame, attention, press, hate, a lot of work, a lot of training. She said yes to this challenge for her career and for her self. She came a long way considering that she was nobody even after winning the Oscar. Although I wish that Brie would play in more dramatic movies or show her comedic side, I think she's doing what's smart for her career. You cannot always plan that. If you get the offer for Captain Marvel, then you should take it. After that, maybe Brie didn't want to do the exhausting long work again like she did for Room. Understandable. It's her career. Maybe/probably it even has something to do with the standard of living. If you're a struggling actress with ideals, you take on a role like Ma in Room. But once you get a big paycheck, you buy a huge Hollywood house, get used to this lifestyle with all its benefits and think to yourself: I made it. Why should I go back to playing a small role when I can be part in blockbusters that are less demanding but better paying then small dramatic movies. Also she is her mid-30s now in 2023, she doesn't have all the time in the world, it's the same for athletes.

Every time I even watch a clip or hear the soundtrack I tear a little. I watched it without seeing a preview or knowing anything about it. I was literally panicking during the truck scene.

Brie is so pretty, i know that sounds dumb, but she has such a natural gorgeousness about her that she looks even better when she's a "mess" (made to look frumpy) bc that's when her beauty cant help but shine thru.

And this film is probably how she was approached by Kevin Feige to be Captain Marvel. I hope to possibly have the chance to meet her.

The movie was really heart touching. I cried a lot after seeing it. The only thing that I didn’t like in the movie was that Old Nick was never punished for his offenses. There should have been a scene showing the man getting punished for his offenses.

I kind of disagree. In most films like this there is so much forcus on the villain, here I really like that the man himself was just an insignificant nobody.

I am not one to focus on a woman's weight--some woman are beautiful chunky, some are beautiful skinny, etc. Brie looks like an absolute perfect weight in this film. Just perfect. She seems to have gotten a LOT thinner in more recent years. Again, she is beautiful no matter what weight but I prefer her a tad fuller like she was in this film. Just sayin.

She did heavy training for Captain Marvel. And when you're a Hollywood celebrity, there are certain expectations from probably every side. Brie said herself she struggled from "every eating disorder possible". She's really a chameleon...off screen. I'm a very new fan of hers (had watched Room 5 years ago and never bothered, what a mistake). Looking back to her as a teenage popstar, as a 20 year old, as a 25 year old, as a 30 year old and today, she often looks so different that I'm honestly having a real hard time believing that it's really her. The weight, the voice, the appearance, obviously the hair colour and style and way of dressing. It's really strange. But I like her a lot because she has such a unique, special, lovely, friendly, misunderstood, awkward, introverted, private, funny, intelligent, kind personality. Shame on everybody who hates on her.
