Glad you like our new rods! I fished that new JBR all last summer and fall during testing and it is sweet. Highly recommended.

So cool to see Loomis develop some new models with the new GLX instead of just doing the typical 853, 844, 852, etc.

I have the NRX+ 883C BJR and have liked it so far. I do not however like the hook keeper, just a bad design. It is soft but not too soft. I also like it for spinnerbaits and topwater. The big thing with it is how it loads on a cast. If you want to cover a lot of water, this rod will cast a lure a long way. Also....Once again, a great video. Thanks for the content.

I've learned to take what they say with a grain of salt. They'll tell you the pros, but they won't mention the cons. They'll suggest a budget SLX reel, which is a good budget reel, but won't warn people that its really hard to cast lighter baits with it for example.

I have to admit I am the same. I have the IMX Pro MBR 903C and I've caught everything from bass to perch to muskie (not a giant one lol) on it. They are awesome tapers no doubt!

Why do they put “hover strolling” rods under the JWR category 🤷🏻♂️ I have an IMX Pro 882S for swimbaits for the 1/4oz jigheads and 2.8-4.8 paddle tails that they also have one for Ned rigs🤷🏻♂️ confusing indeed😮

I wonder how much different the GLX 891 vs NRX+ 901 tip action will be
@jimbo04117 ай бұрын
I've had GLX rods, 853C, 844MBR, i wasn't so crazy. MBR better at reaction baits but thick heavier blank. 853 is sensitive but just a hair above the Expride A imo. Too whippy soft tip on the 853 reminds me of my X Bites tip which to me is only finesse jig or worm rod. XBites way more sensitive tho. Though love the NRX line, why buy a GLX at even higher price now when the NRX is supposed to have a better blank material.

I need to feel that 873c BJR in a shop, since I’m on the hunt for a badass graphite chatterbait rod. 3 power scares me a little bit because from my experience, 3 powers tend to be weaklings. Edit: these also look to have Kigan Hook keepers like my old Kistlers placed on the correct spot which is a huge W
@livinglife32307 ай бұрын
That BJR would really be taxed by a 1/2oz chatterbait/trailer. I knew by Tackle Tour’s review, it was going to be a avg/soft mh & the lure rating confirms that. I actually got mine for another technique

as someone who has an IMX BJR, I have no idea why anyone would even pay for that let alone a GLX or NRX for chatterbaits. If i'm being honest I still prefer a bog ass standard MH for throwing chatters, I'll never understand glass rods for single hook chatters
@thesonorandesertangler7 ай бұрын
I get better hook up's in the corner of the mouth with a glass rod. I also use a Zodias MH when I can only bring a few rods, but my glass chatterbait rod rips through grass better, and keeps them pinned better too.
@tims_always_fishing71177 ай бұрын
@@thesonorandesertanglerI haven't lost too many fish to buy a glass rod.
@Fishing_Rod_Engineer7 ай бұрын
The reason to have a moderate rod for trebles is that the hooks swivel around so can come loose easier. with bladed jigs the whole bait swivels on the blade so it's a similar concept thus requiring a more moderate action for a bladed jig than say a spinnerbait that is fixed.
@thesonorandesertangler7 ай бұрын
@@tims_always_fishing7117 Just like glass rods are better for crankbaits they're better for chatterbaits too. It's cool if you don't vibe with glass rods, but that doesn't mean they're not the appropriate tool for fishing chatterbaits and crankbaits.
@jimbo04117 ай бұрын
@@thesonorandesertanglerI agree , used to use a crank rod and lost them but got a glass even though i hate huge diameter blank, and kept them on. Especially ripping in grass. Bought a Howel Tatula Topwater Bladed jig rod not glass that is really parabolic like glass rod, curious to see how that does with chatterbaits this summer.
