I appreciate your courage showing us your process un-rehearsed. I was working on a lawnmower with this class of engine and made the same assumption about the primer bulb, so I feel better knowing I'm not the only one. With your help and tips on where to find the carburetor I successfully got the old mower running. THANK YOU!

That o ring on the intake is the gasket for the carburetor

Thank you. I have the same trimmer and got the carburetor from ebay as you did. Miracle--it fits. I appreciate the tip.

For sure! Make sure to change your oil after this. Your crankcase probably has a lot of gas in there with the oil, now, which isn’t good.

Hey, my bad! I am 99% sure that I got it on Ebay. Lots of inexpensive options, there.

So what was the problem with fuel leaking be out of the bulb any amswers
@budgetprojectsbydavid5263 Жыл бұрын
If fuel is leaking from bulb, you need to replace bulb. They break over time and need to be replaced.

I ran into that same "milk curd" residue on the body of the carb. I'm wondering if it was water that had gotten in the carb.
@budgetprojectsbydavid52632 жыл бұрын
Possibly, could it also have been ethanol gas that broke down over a few month’s time? I always use non-ethanol to reduce the possibility of that varnish-like crud building up in the carb.

@@budgetprojectsbydavid5263 What I had was like tiny white chunks of stuff. Don't know. You may be right.

@@budgetprojectsbydavid5263 Bingo! Ethanol gas is the cause of many problems.

Mine had the same stuff. It's the rotten yellow foam off of the old air filter pre-cleaner element. You can see it @ 16:10 in the video.
