The spinners wheels on Briggs & RIley are not a less quality wheel than the 2 wheel bags. 2 vs. 4 wheels bags really come down to personal preference and the importance of overall packing capacity. Great review, very thorough!

Watching in 2023. Great review. I'm surprised this video didn't get you some job offers as your review was thought out and well organized.

The 4 wheels on spinner bags are usually more prominent, that is, they stick out further from the body of the bag. Some airlines include the wheels in their measurements and protruding wheels could make your bag exceed the carryon size restrictions. In addition, having observed numerous baggage handlers at airports, the likelihood of using the spinners wheels as handles is extremely high. They are much easier to grab than the actual handles when unloading an airplane's luggage hold. How many times will it take before one of your spinner wheels breaks off when being grabbed and hurled by the baggage staff?? The two-wheeled bags, often called rollaboards, have a more recessed wheel design which does not add greatly to the external dimensions. And those short wheels are hard for baggage staff to get a grip on and use as a handle. Wheel breakage is therefore less likely.

The internal pocket on the baseline looks like a pocket for work files/paperwork etc.

Very helpful video. Thank you. I do quite a bit of business travel (domestically). I currently have a Travelpro Crew 9 (I think) with a suitor. I really like the bag and it’s been working well but I’m thinking of upgrading. Any suggestions? I definitely need a carryon with a suitor and as much internal storage as possible. Thoughts?

I really like my Baseline. It has a suitor, is super durable, and with the framing on the outside, the inside has maximum space. I use the international dimensions on domestic flights too, so far without issue... but it comes in both. Good luck!

Great video. We just bought the BRX Domestic and the under the seat bag that attaches to the top. We are going to europe fo 2.5 weeks and flying United there and back. While there we will be flying Air France from Rome to Italy. Would both bags be considered carry on for both airlines? Thanks!

Thank you, Gallivanting Gal! I have been looking everywhere for a review of the BR BRX, and even eBags didn't have a proper video breakdown. This is a fantastic breakdown and comparison. Unfortunately, I have to replace my eBags eTechMotherlode (a great business carryon bag) and eBags has offered their TLS Motherlode or a comparable gift certificate. You have just steered me in favor of the BRX due to the lighter size and features thanks to your video. Excellent job!

How do you strap another bag to this? Not understanding how that strap will do that and would appreciate a demo. Thanks.
