This song always comes to me when we lose a beloved pet, and somehow through the tears and grief, it gives me comfort that they're still with Deena and I, watching over us and protecting us.

I actually had an Angora Rabbit,she was almost human, she lived free, in the house and garden, then one Autumn Evening, she decided to cross the road to meet me when I drove up the drive, Sadly, the neighbor ran her over, not his fault, as she ran across the road to greet me, like a small kid would. She died on the spot. Poor Ruby,I think of her often.

Mike Batt write it for the film Watership Down just encase you didn't know so many silly people think Garfunkel write it when it was Mike Batt who wrote the song and Garfunkel just sang it Mike Batt himself sings it on his album "A Song Writer's Tale" look it up Mike Batt- Bright Eyes and you'll see that he dose it better

Does anyone remember that this was the theme song of Water ship down? See the film and you will get a deeper understanding of the tune
@traumaqueen457 жыл бұрын
I'm sure some people remember this old song was in Watership Down. Did you even watch it or did you just Google it to see the association? I took my niece & nephew to watch it not realizing that the animation was way above the understanding of young children. You may like the fact that this song was in Watership Down, but when I hear the song, I don't want to dream about rabbits. If I am going to listen to a song, whether romantic or sad, I prefer to envision humans in my interpretation.
