Hello Deon, thank you so much for the answer to the techniques that will work on my B58, I'm very excited about the methods you recommended and will be ordering the supplies and plan on practicing on my " paint mules" to achieve the affects you shared. I've also wanted to try a passenger aircraft in the future and your American Airlines model was excellent. Both techniques will certainly provide an excellent metal finish on any era metal aircraft., but the Hustler model can really stand out now. Deon, you might give the AK Xtreme Metal range a try. I've switched to them and am super happy with the results. The main thing with metallisers, I have discovered, is to give them PLENTY of curing time. I normally don't go anywhere near the paint job for at least three days (72 hrs) and find by then you can mask and decal with impunity.
