Hello and Welcome back to my KZbin Channel. This is how this channel started a video about this Bright-Tech Bus Display *more information on this video below* There is also a number of videos on lighting from fluorescent lighting to low pressure sodium, high pressure sodium and light-emitting diodes (LED). There are also some other random videos mainly of things I have or like. Thanks for watching Dave.
In this Video you will see my Bright Tech Destination Set show ( Sorry I am Not in Service /
127 Shepshed, The OxLea / 127 Leicester / X3 Market Harborough / X3 Leicester / Sorry I am Not in Service ). Arriva Midlands 127 from Thurmaston Depot and X3 from Wigston Depot.
Front is a 240 by 16 Orange LED Display. Side is a 90 by 8 Bright dot Green LED and a Number Box Power Roller Rear (Backlight Not Working).
My Controller is programmed to work this set up, it is from (2261) Y261 YBC a Dennis Mini Pointer Dart. Front was changed to a LED after Power Roller Blind Failed and the Keypad Controller 'Chip Set' was changed to work this usual set up.
When Arriva went to Hanover Displays, Matt and myself had the job of removing all remaining Bright Tech Displays. We did 2261 before the bus was refurbished & repainted.
I asked if I could have this set and the management at the time said yes. Most of the old Bright Tech displays ended up in the metal skip for recycling. Some still remain at Wigston Depot 01/10/20.
Only Fault was Rear Display didn't light up (I fitted LED Lights seen in later videos), but now works with a Replacement PCB.
It is powered by a Omron S8VS-09024 Power Supply Input 240v 2.3A Output 24v 3.7SA found on eBay. (Costing around £40)
