Fabulous footage. Brightline should be enormously pleased to have this record. As a Central Floridian, I’m delighted to see major infrastructure being built. Your drone work is amazing. All of your work has been first rate. Thanks.

I'm really loving the efficiency of this railway company. We need THEM to build High Speed Rail in the designated corridors in this country.

So great to see trains making a comeback. I would like the option of taking the train where i live now

Definitely! If passenger rail projects like this succeed, then other American cities/states will study them as examples and consider their implementation!

I’ve been watching this tunnel build. Glad to actually see it from your drone, you can only see so much at 60 mph at road level. Thanks for the update. 👍🏽

All remarkable, the tunnels are remarkable, the engineering, the crews; and excellent drone video(s). Thanks. I'll look forward to a ride on the Brightline rail.

I really appreciate how well your videos are produced. It’s great that Brightline has given you the access you have to the property, to enable you to capture all this historic construction. I look forward to the day I can ride through this tunnel. Thanks for all your outstanding work.

Looking good man, what's the clearancein the tunnel and could it support catanary in the distant future? Glad to see US infra getting up to date and actually good
@RoamingRailfan3 жыл бұрын
As far as I am aware, there are no plans for catenary.

Roaming Railfan, I absolutely love your videos. Thank you so much for doing this. However, did Brightline explain to you why they chose to build this tunnel as opposed to taking the line over the hwy with an overpass? This method, albeit quite cool, seems to me to be much more involved than a rail overpass would be.
@RoamingRailfan3 жыл бұрын
They did not but my theory is that it has something to do with future road widening projects here in the future

That's a surprisingly sharp curve through the tunnel. How fast will trains be able to go through there? Certainly not 125 mph.
@RoamingRailfan3 жыл бұрын
Around 80mph

The curve radii in this area seem pretty tight, do we know the speeds they intend to do in this area?

I'm glad no one got their fingers caught when putting those panels in place! How long did each section take? As it's sped up you can't easily tell.
@RoamingRailfan3 жыл бұрын
The part I filmed from when it was rotated to set in place was a little longer than 30 minutes. There was work before that and some minor adjustments afterwards so I'd guess roughly 2 hours a panel.

Is the precasting of the tunnel panels being done by the GC or have they brought in a local precaster to do it on site?

This process looks painstakingly Slow. I wonder who designed this particular style tunnel ? 🧐🤔
@RoamingRailfan3 жыл бұрын
Still a lot faster than building a typical bridge. Installation will take around a month.

Yes, I was on property with Brightline's permission and supervision.
