Today we are going into a former bowling alley with over 50 lanes. This massive building is on the verge of demolition for new condos and after its closure in 2016, the entertainment complex was left to the elements. Join us as we find out what's left.

Hey, you probably won't see this comment but my school is actually walking distance from that place. Back before it closed, near the end of the school year our teachers would always take us there. We never took the bus or anything, we always just walked. I have memories there lol. It's seriously weird looking at the state this place is in now. It was never a fancy place or anything but seeing it this torn up is just like wow lol.

She chaperoned my group one of the times we went so she might have some pics. I remember there being a lot of gacha machines and arcade cabinets. There was also this like compatibility tester thing and you had to rent these nasty bowling shoes. Oh and I can also ask some of my friends and classmates if they might have pics.

@@gordontaylor2815 Sorry, but to be completely honest I really don't know. It was actually doing pretty well business wise as far as I knew, so I don't really know. There have also been other places in my area that did pretty well that closed down and abandoned for years for seemingly no reason. Apparently some of those places were supposed to be turned into condos or something, so maybe this place was shut down for similar reasons?

Those are Brunswick A-2 pinsetters. I've been a Brunswick mechanic for many years and can tell you all those parts used to be quite valuable. However, with bowling centers closing so frequently, most of the pinsetters and scorers are just used as scrap these days. I'm surprised they left all the power lifts in the approaches up front (10:48) because those are difficult to find, but the pinsetters only go for about $200 a machine at best. Great video. Brings back old memories of how I used to rebuild those pinsetters and all the time I took doing it.

If you noticed, which you probably did, but all the decks, gearbox's and anything worth where removed. Just the frame and turrets left. Guess they got some money out of them. There's alot more they could have salvaged and made money off of. Even the synthetic lanes could've brought some extra cash.

The building was sold to developers a while before it closed. It was sold as the land in that area is worth a lot of money not because a lack of patronage at club 300, it was jammed with leagues until it closed. Around the 13 minute mark is the pro shop, it looks like the front check in desk was removed after it closed as it was closer to the snack bar. The building is stripped as there was no doubt that it was going to be torn down.

@@QueenOfCatsX3 I lived in a block house in Jacksonville for 36 years. It had the 9x9 asbestos tiles. The problem is not when they are new because they are pliable. The supposed problem is when they get a little older and become brittle. They say dry sweeping floors with these tiles are a hazard because of airborne carcinogens. The house was built in 1940. My grandma owned it before my mother and me. Not one person in my family has ever had any asbestos related illness. These same tiles were in millions of houses and even aircraft carriers for decades. Asbestos may cause problems when you are working in a mine or doing installation where you are exposed to airborne particles on a regular basis. Other than that abatement is just another scare tactic for implementing a money making racket.

I live in the municipality where this bowling alley is. While I can't say I frequented this place, I do have some fond memories coming here as a young child in the late 2000s to play bowling with my friends while our parents watched us. Towards the last couple of years while this place was still open, while I never did return to the bowling alley, I would occasionally have dinners at one of the restaurants there. Even at that point, this place was already dead quiet, with my immediate family usually being the largest group of patrons at any of the businesses there. The internet cafe, though I never went inside, was open until the very end, as far as I know, despite having been an obsolete business years before this place closed down. Useless info below: The panels that cover the machines are known as Masking Units. The ball return mechanism is a Power Lift (Brunswick's name for it). The pinsetters are A2's, although later on in the video it looks like there were also GS series machines installed that were removed entirely. The guard that comes down to sweep the pins is called a Rake on A2's and a Sweep on GS machines. It's sad to see a center abandoned like this, especially with the older pinsetters. They were known as the workhorse of the industry. Very durable machines and reliable if serviced properly.

This one hits really close to home. I left my hometown of Scarborough, Ontario for Calgary back in 2014. I remember so many memories from this place. I was definitely sad when I found out this place closed during one of my visits.

Wow, I used to go here, even had a friend's birthday party back in jr. high. This place was pretty popular back in the day but once World Bowl opened in Richmond Hill in the late 90s the crowds started gravitating to that place. I also recall there was an LAN bar on the first floor where you could play games like StarCraft and Counterstrike.

Always love your videos. Been sick recently and have been stuck at home. So, your new videos are always a joy to watch! I liked how you put in photos of what the place use to look like and going back to what it looks like now. It added a nice creep factor. But, this place alone was creepy yet very cool! 🤗

Crazy to see the place abandoned like this. My parents used to bowl here as part of a league and I have fond memories of going on the weekends with them. Place used to have arcade machines lined along the walls and the best fries and gravy at the snack stand. This was actually the first place I ever played Bomberman or an arcade racing sim. Last I heard the place was supposed to be torn down for more condos (yuck). Place was in business to at least the early 10's from what I remember. Thanks for visiting!

I met my late husband there in my early 20's.,fun times! So many league memories, the pro shop, restaurants, friendships followed by my son's youth leagues. We all had tears bowling our last league there. My heart aches watching this, the fact that it is still abandoned now and still no condo in 2020.

I always watch your vids and love them (long time subscriber). And when you said “Club 300” i was shocked. We used to go there all the time. Park underground and go up the stairs. The bottom floor was open but not too busy. But Club300 was always active. My niece would get chicken fingers and fries. We’d bowl, then play arcade and pool. If it was winter, we’d do doughnuts in the back before we left. So sad, places like this don’t exist anymore. Thanks for filming, and letting me see my youth again. Stay safe.

Thanks for making this video. I used to go there when I was younger and would regularly hang out at that net cafe to play foosball. They closed down that building because the owners wanted to capitalize on the huge surge in property value and sold it to developers to build townhomes on it. I believe the developers themselves went bankrupt and couldn't build said townhomes.

One of my favorite memories of this place was biking from home to Club 300 Bowling and playing at the arcade they had at the alley. One day in 2006, I went down to play Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and ended up beating the game. It was a proud achievement for a teenage me.

Heartbreaking to see this. We had this once popular bowling alley where we bowled in our youth leagues, varsity practices, and wven the pros bowled there. Neglect, not playing taxes, and the lease it closed and turned into some kind of church. Also this bowling which was of walking distance from my childhood home is where NKOTB had their music video.
