When I was a kid I went to the Fox movie theatre which is now that Fox hotel mentioned and another very very nice attraction in Ponce is the Ponce Museum Of Art which I highly recommend but be sure to call in advance to make sure of the hours of operation (it had suffered some damage during the earthquake and was temporarily closed for reparations).

We just did our first visit to Puerto Rico and specifically went to Ponce to walk in the footsteps of my dad who just passed away. In late 1960's/early 1970's he took a 6-month break from college and worked in a Thom Mcan shoe factory in Ponce. We are trying to find out where it was and got an address right near Parque de Bombas, but that didn't seem quite right. If any of the commenters who are from Ponce have suggestions on how to look for it...
