You had to wonder just how much was in the tank when he was only doing what was required in his previous races. It's so good to see him extend clear like that for a big margin win, now we know. What a horse. The cruising speed he has is enormous, the way he travels and that turn of foot is unbelievable. He stayed that 10.5f on his head as well. One of the greatest 10f performances of all time, and the best since Frankels own Juddmonte in my opinion. He's still not Frankel but he's definitely a great after that.

What a race Sir Busker ran. New tactics should be employed in future G1 races for him. Tell the jockey to have a few puffs of a Hamlet cigar before setting off after the stalls open. There's always decent prize money for 3rd or 4th in a G1 race.

He's won 1 race in 18 months, a below standard Juddmonte beating Alenquer, who has finished down the track in the Arc, Sheema Classic & Eclipse Stks since. 3rd that day was Love, who would then go on to get beaten in a F&M Grp2 and then run unplaced in the Breeders Cup F&M Turf. I'm afraid that formline is not strong. Native Trail I suspect is a miler. All credit to Baaeed as I said you can only beat what turns up however I stand by my original statement. I'm no Frankel fan boy but he beat vastly superior animals in his Juddmonte win and he was just as dominant

The horse used up way too much petrol earlier on and still had the tactical speed and gas tank to quicken twice. That just does not happen in group one races. From a breeding perspective, they don’t need to prove the horse stays. I wouldn’t bother with the arc because the horse is on a hiding to nothing. For us romanticists, yes it would be a great end to its racing career.

I have kept track of BAAEED since early in his sophomore year. Everyone in America says Flightline is the best horse in training, but I think Baaeed is the best. He had beaten the previous best miler (Palace Pier) as a 3-y-o and has beaten a stellar group including Mishriff, Coroebus, Native Trail, Alcohol Free, Modern Games, ... I cannot say if he has accomplished more than Frankel, however.

8f to 12f is just that little bit more special than 8f to 10f. An Arc would put him alongside Nijinsky, Sir Ivor, Dancing Brave, Nashwan, Sea the Stars as G1 champions from 8-12f. A Champion Stks win will just make him Frankel (lite).

@@elgransenor1472 I know what you mean. When a very good horse comes along usually they are a class above the next best. So, we don't actually see them pushed to their best. They usually burst to the lead, put a gap in the opposition, and pass the post easing down. It was very frustrating watching Black Caviar winning effortlessly year after year and wishing she would travel overseas to meet stiffer competition. I think the jockey knows how good a horse is. Given that Baaeed's jockey consider him the best he's ridden, that tells me Baaeed is a top-class horse.
