I'm not familiar with the proper term for addressing this regiment. Is it King's Troops or Gunner Guards? Either way, the guard in the right box is truly exceptional. He has a no-nonsense demeanor that I really admired. There is something undeniably regal about the handsome guard.. And I don't fault him. I would use the magnificent King's Horse as well. All the horses featured today are absolutely gorgeous. Thanks! John for your hard work. Appreciate your ability to educate and inform. Stay warm!❤️💂‍♀️

@paradiseana7634 . Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery usually seen pulling the gun carriages and firing salutes at State Ceremonial occasions . They are Gunners equivalent to Private , on duty at Horse Guards referred to as Kings Lifeguards the same as HCav .

It’s so nice to hear from that tourist that her child is getting an opportunity to visit Horse Guards and learn all about their history and rules (that Horse Guards are working military personnel as well as being the official entrance to Buckingham Palace) at an early age and learn not to ridicule or make fun of them, that is amazing

I was from the UK, S, Devon, now living in the USA for 31 years, love watching you John. The Gunner is so right chasing everyone out of the box, its way too busy there. He is a rockstar and love his horse. Happy Birthday to the young lady from the States FL, she will never forget her 10th birthday, she got to meet you John. Earlier in the video the female gunner had such a friendly horse, that just wanted to be loved by everyone, you could tell that horse loved people and kids. I think if she would not let him say hello he would play up lol, so what do you do. Have a horse that goes crazy in the box, or just let it say hello. I do not know on that one.

That first horse in the haunted box was such a sweetheart. Wanted to greet and love on the kind tourists. I appreciate the gunner in letting her horse have the freedom to be greeted or not, the horse obviously knows it's mind. What a sweety.

The horses/gunners have ranged from the Lovers to the Fighters while still doing their jobs and the multitude of police horses had been such a joy to watch. I find the differences between the HCav and Gunner horses fascinating. Not just the physical size but the Gunner's mounts seem much more chill and friendly and vocal. Don' think I've ever heard the horses "talk" so much as in the last few days.

@FrithGarcia yes it is freezing in Winnipeg but we are used to weather changes of all kinds. We can get up to +40 in the summer and up to -50 in the winter adding a wind-chill can make it -60. We manage to get through it though we're a hearty tough bunch. 😊

Let’s be honest here - the tourons can pretend they haven’t seen the signs, claim they don’t understand the signs or the gunner or just plain ignore them both but there’s no mistaking a charging horse. As a technique it’s working a treat. But I loved the curious horse. He was going to do his own thing regardless of signs or white lines - although he did indulge in a bit of head butting when people moved too far into his space. And with a heavy head powered by the massive neck muscles a determined nudge can floor anyone.

That gunner who uses his horse to keep them out of the box is extraordinary. It's as if they are of the same mind. This horse knows exactly what is required of him from his gunner which says a lot about the horsemanship of the gunner. I suspect this gunner will go far up the ladder of authority, he seems incredibly disciplined.
