Meanwhile, I had his younger sister at 8 months in a stroller, so running after my son was impossible. A harness worked beautifully and kept him safe out on the streets and in stores.

I do not know if your insignia for officers are the same as USA?? But for Army and Air Force in USA 1 gold bar is a 2nd Lt. And 1 silver bar is a 1st Lt. 2 silver bars is a Captain (except for Navy-Navy insignia is different) 1 gold maple leaf is a Major, a silver maple leaf is Lt. Col. And a silver eagle is a full Col. or they can also call it a Bird Col. Then 1 silver star is a Brigadier General, 2 stars is a Lt. General, 3 stars is a Major General, and 4 stars is a General. They used to have 5 star Generals back in the WW2 era. Gen. Eisenhower, Patton, and MacArthur were 5 stars I believe. My Dad retired as a Bird Col in the Air Force. He was a pilot in WW2 in the Army Air Corps. They did not have a branch of the Air Force then. They started one shortly after WW2 or during the end? Not quite sure when the Branch of armed services the Air Force was born. So if you have the same insignia, you will be able to tell now. But I am thinking they may be different. If they are, you will be able to tell the USA officers!!!! 😂
