And what a perfect format it was. Captain Monastario comes up with a plan - Diego steps in, Monastario fails. New day - new plan - new counterplan - fail - repeat. Sweet. That's how each episode should be. Format is not something to fiddle with. Bond, Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is not the expected fun because someone fiddled with the format. That's wrong thing to do.

A little bit of foresight missing so Diego could be successful, but that's fated. Licenciado and Monastario have to fall for Diego's gems - they are doomed to do so as the show must go on and the viewers must be provided with entertainment. Next episodes after the 13th lack Monastario's good imagination.
In case some viewers kept asking "when Zorro will finally get rid of Monastario" - that should never happen to maintain format, to maintain high level opponent for Zorro hence to maintain high level action based on a perfect plan that has to fail for each next episode.
