Why haven't more people recommended this Video ? Shame on them ! Brilliant speech indeed . A great man R.I.P. ! Much of his speech is documented in the book "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" by John Perkins.

Lies upon lies and gross manipulation of the media and therefore the public. That's the way it is, the way it always has been and will continue to be. I am not a religious person but what would our lives be like for the short time we are alive it people acually had a conscience and adopted moral values instead of allowing greed and selfishness to rule their decisions. One if everyone actually lived by the greatest rules of ethics - the Ten Commandents. I wonder what our lives would be like.

Well just as you are choosing to be pessimistic about it, I am choosing to be optimistic. You're right, change isn't guaranteed, but at least hope for the best. Why not give the new american administration the benefit of the doubt before passing your judgement. wahlpage

I agree Although we have skeletons in our closet, it was mostly reflective of those in office and the ignorance of the public. And I don't even mean ignorance as in being dumb or literally ignoring, but rather that the public was..."sheltered"?

Exactly.. Mr Pinter was right "AT THE TIME" and of course the sins of the US in the past have been appalling, but we have moved on from the 1950 - 2008 period. In our time we can already see steps being taken to fix these problems. eg Guantanamo and Iraq.

We often are too quick to agree with arguments that are typically presented on a platter such as these ones. He makes a fair point but I would only advise people to look into things in details. The actions of the american govt in the past may not be representative of its current administration. I will like to point out that though most of his points are true, many have been resolved. Great thinker, he compels us to see the truth,
