amzn.to/3RbJsTJ This 2-in-1 Klein 65131 1/4'-5/16' Stubby Nut Driver takes the cake with common metal screws. Just a quick snap of the collar and this magnetic bit driver instantly switches between the two most common fastener heads.

Stubby: amzn.to/3RbJsTJ
Longer shaft version: amzn.to/3AsAeM3
Multi-driver version with reversible bits, etc.: amzn.to/3wxzaFp

Thanks again for another great video. I have used Kline tools for almost all of my electrical needs. My "electrical bag" I loaded with them. Their flat and Phillips screwdrivers started it all in the 80s. Stay strong brothers.

To my understanding it is actually a double standard bit holder. Along the 1/4", the 5/16" is also a popular standard, especially for larger SL bits, supported by brands like Wera, Wiha, Felo, etc.

This is somewhat coincidental because I just received a Klein mini-stubby (32561) yesterday. I was looking for a simple stubby because I have misplaced my ratcheting one and I had to use an offset screwdriver when I was working in a splitter, and that was a bad day. Now I have this stubby, and I can't believe how small it is. It's tiny. This is good, because for my stubby drivers are for use when needed - I have no intention of using it as a 'go-to' screw driver. My only gripe with it so far (haven't used it yet) is that the largest flat blade is only 1/4", and since I need it largely for splitter bonding lugs, it would be much better to have a 5/16" flat blade. Still and all, it's going to make my life way better. I was also impressed with how aggressively it hangs onto the blades. These don't feel like they are going to pop out and stay in the screw like the two 13-in-ones I have had from Klein.

Klein has jacked up their act up in a lot of areas , in the last couple of years , Klein pliers had terrible action , as in tight as a Ducks Patoot ! Just for old times sake I bought a set of Klein Telcom/ VDV pliers , the actions on the pliers were great ! Glad to see they are back in the game , I had swung away from them , to Knipex due to bad QA !

I like Klein but it's hard to find in the UK so everything has to be online which is a lot less of a gamble with your reviews. I did get annoyed at the multi bit stubbly with short bits making it impossible for me to custom to my needs so I gave that away, great video as always please more Klein and Knipex.

This is a very cool design. Maybe other versions and sizes will appear in the future. A regular size handle with removable extension and one more double socket inside the handle. You always find very interesting tools. Recently based on your video about t handles I bought the felo, with 1/4 square, and one with magnetic Hex bit holder. Actually I find another one from wiha, with two magnetic bit holders, one in the end of the handle, similar to the Allen keys, very practical for work in tight places, providing more torque. I like your videos about this interesting tools. 👍👍

FYI Have a look at the Klein #32596 - HVAC Slide Driver, Multi-Bit Screwdriver / Nut Driver, 8-in-1 has a 1/4" hex key insert to make the extension piece usable in a 1/4" driver/drill....not as simple as you might like but gives you the function you requested (could always glue it in to make it semi permanent ..... just a thought) They also have Klien #32766 - 3-in-1 Impact Flip Socket, 1/4-Inch, 5/16-Inch, 3-Inch Length ... or Klein #32907 - 7-in-1 Impact Flip Socket Set, which also seems to do a similar job to that which you were chasing

Thanks for the list of others. I saw the HVAC slider but it was beyond the quick simplicity I liked about the stubby. Plus I often need a stubby size inside appliances. But the drill tangent. Outstanding! Might be worth the price alone. I wonder if Klein would send me a "replacement" slider?

The Klein 6-in-1 32593 ratcheting stubby has a reversible shaft that is both 1/4 and 5/16 nut drivers - and the 1/4 can take other 1/4 bits - so this less versatile and a bit redundant. I'm a bit surprised he didn't mention that.

Another tool company already made this were it could be used on a impact driver quick release. It was called slide drive. I assume Klein bought the rights to the design. I just lost my stubby version which I use the most.

If only they would make these and all their other bit drivers and such here in the US. I just cannot buy imported tools from American tool manufacturers, I simply cannot and will not support their practice of Importing tools. Eventually they'll get the idea that we don't care where the tools are made and just send all production over seas.

@@chiphill4856 Harder but not impossible, you've just gotta look and luckily we have internet shopping. A lot of these are industrial brands or just industry specific, and many don't have much presence in the general consumer market. The average hardware and big box store paints a bleak picture, but I have learned about so many American manufacturers the last few years that I never heard of before. You will generally have to pay more, but then there are also dealers and distributors with higher prices like HJE. Most of the tools Harry J Epsteins sells are American made, but it's always very clearly listed regardless. Their prices are a bit higher but not unreasonable and they have excellent customer service. Cripe distributing has lots of NOS American made tools ( as does HJE ), abolox tool is a good dealer as well. Zorro has lots of American made tools too, but the COO isn't always to find in the listing.
