Not currently in my plans, no. I could probably see one for maybe Norwalk, but the next time I rebuild for there it would probably be a nastier version of Disinformation. This was pretty much just for fun :)

Wouldn't have guessed you could have a battery too low and still have it catch fire. Guess that really proves Lipos are a whole different kind of battery.
@ray9368
@ray9368 Ай бұрын
Discharging to 3.7v per cell is ~80% of the stored charge, and in general you shouldn't get lower than that. Down to around 3v per cell *probably didn't damage anything, but any lower and you are damaging the battery. The scary part is you may not know it until you are charging the battery back up. If you look through KZbin and see battery fires while charging, I can pretty much guarantee that it was because the packs were over discharged first.

Brimstone is still function despite being tossed a lot. Even though the battery case broke despite using the different 3D Printed material. Overall, Brimstone is STILL ready to Burn the Enemies.

how long does it take the litthium batteries to charge? imagine sitting there, staring at the batteries for god knows how long and then the light lights up green and the batteries are like okay im ready to go :) but then when you run it down to whatever percent damages them and youre sitting there staring at the batteries again, and then the batteries are like "im tired of living" and they just start smoking for no reason
@ray9368

Watching the volts per cell is key to managing lipo batteries. You can usually tell the health of the pack by monitoring this. It pretty much never happens for 'no reason' - you just have to pay attention!

As a general rule of thumb, lithium batteries can safely charge at 1C which means they charge in roughly 1 hour (a bit more as you have to slow down nearer to the end). That said some batteries can charge faster (at the cost of faster degradation) and their manufacturers will list this. The fastest I've personally seen was 3C (so roughly 20 minutes plus a bit because you have to slow down at the end).

I had this comment when the video first released but for some reason it didn't save. I wanted to point out how on your auction (I am not going to say any names because I don't know if that is the reason why my original comment didn't save) the authenticity letter has a name starting from "R" for Blip but according to Mark Rober's video timestamp 14:21, Blip's name started with an "F" (I didn't bid but I looked at the photos). Also, here's an idea for Brimstone: Burn a snowman with it...Muwahahahahahahahahaha. I also think the decorations they had for SE are cool, especially the axe at the back.

Your weapon would be more destructive if it took a smaller bite per revolution. And it wouldn't break so often from coming to a sudden stop.

I wonder what would happen if you would put a thermal lance as a weapon in there. It can literally melt rocks
@ray9368

Oxidizers are illegal, so the pure oxygen a lance takes is a no-no unfortunately.

@ray9368
@ray9368 Ай бұрын
"Doing the thing" is a common combat robot expression. It's when I robot comes to rest without its wheels touching the ground, and can't move. Brimstone is so nose heavy that you can almost make it fall on it's face and get stuck there, and it almost did that in the video. In my case it's kind of meaningless since it won't see a combat match where it would be counted out for doing the thing.
