I started brining my turkey two years ago and can’t not brine. I still roast breast side down in a roasting bag. So tender and the taste is amazing.

I fit a 20 lber in my not so empty and older fridge. In a heavy duty ziplock, resting in a roasting pan. No leaks. Been doing it for years now.

I’ve had turkey that was brined once and it was the best. I think they used some apple juice though in the brine.

I don't use lemon but instead stuff with peeled apples (red only). I also pull the skin up in certain spots (not completely separating it from the membrane thing) and stuff minced apple, onion, butter, and celery paste under the skin. Then cover the skin in butter. I know apples sounds weird but it's soo good, especially if you like sweeter meats.

This is the Best way to brine and prepare a Turkey. I learned from a head chef from Britain 25 years ago.. I've been brinning and preparing my Turkey this way for years... I bake it very differently, and cooks in less time..

This year I will try this brine with water . I do only the kosher salt overnight and just rinse in the morning. And I do mostly everything else the same. My family loves my turkey. I love your videos.

why didn't u use a roaster with the top it tends 2 keep the turkey from drying out.also injecting a turkey makes it more tender.

Does boiling the brine first make any difference? I've been using the Alton brown method for yrs but idk if it's really efficient compared to all the other methods I'm seeing.

Brining makes all the difference in the world when cooking a turkey. I smoke mine following these same basic steps. I wrap my aromatics in cheesecloth to make it easier to remove them from the cavity. I also rub room temperature butter under the skin and inject it. I’ve been told many times that it’s the best turkey they ever had.
