Got a Hundo palkia origin earlier today but of course, it didn’t have spacial rend. I’m thinking at this point maybe I’ll try to get a few with spacial rend for mirror lucky trades but even that requires a lot of raiding…

They need to install a system that the main series has for the battle tower, everything is capped at level 50 (max is 100) and everything above level 50 reather than being banned just gets its level reduced to 50 for those battles only. That gets around the problem of those who have over-powered stuff complaining

Totally agree. I build three Pokémon for master league this season and is not even max out (spend 650k stardust and 400+ rare candies), because it was paired with Halloween little league in that week. And of cause I did very bad that week. I played Pokémon go since it came out in 2016, then stop play after couple years because got bored to the game, pick back up after like a few months when the pvp was introduce, so I missed a lot of Pokémon’s and XL candies, master league to me is a league that I will never able to compete with.

there were some people who caught mighty snorlax above level 50 during the fukuoka wild area, which brought up talks of level 60 coming soon. one can only hope that they will learn from the xl accessibility issue and do something more people can & will do to push their pokemon past 50, but realistically we can only assume that when level 60 drops, whenever that may be, things will get so much worse

About your thoughts on level 40, I think you need more thought about making sure that this doesn't suck for the people who already got their XL's. I think they definitely need to keep ultra league as is because if someone has their XL ultra league pokemon, it'll suck for it to not be usable, and they might not even have anything else that'd be good. However for master league, I think it's fine if they can find a way to effectively bring the power level down. Like lowering the CP to something that's level 40. That way people who've built their lvl 50's can still use those pokemon.

The main series games do level locking for comp. They could easily just do level down to 40 for masters cup. It would make sense since we have a concept in Pokemon games already.

I think they need to really update how the candy XLs are distributed. I'd go around catching 10 of the same pokemon and only have maybe 1 XL candy to show for it. Level 50 would be so accessible if the chances weren't so random and low!

bring back premier classic. the thing with xls also is stardust. its significantly cheaper at 40 than 40-50. if we didn't have to spend dust on xls, it could be going towards building mons for other leagues or other cups. i tried playing ML for the player level 44 task of 30 ML wins (wanted a challenge so no fake-battling). I basically sat out GBL until ML started so i could start at level one. I used level (approx) 43-45 dragonite, purified metagross and gyarados. i did the challenge over two seasons, about level 6 i get hit with double move legendries.

I dont hate the idea of a level 40 league, but I dont want to not be able to run my level 50s. A Pokémon like Zygard that you only get one of wouldn't be usable for me because it's already powered up. I think they could do 2 things. A) cap master league at level 40 and make a level 50 league. Could be something cool like Apex League Or Legendary league Or 2) still have open master league, but also do a limited level 40 non XL master league/cup Either way, they should do something to improve engagement for more players, cuz I dont see them doing a rare XL candy event......ever!

They should bring back mega master league.. that makes a lot more XL attainable pokemon viable.. mega gyarados, Salamance and gengar are super strong, both charizard forms can have a lot of play and venu/abomasnow can be fun anti-meta picks

@ because it gives an unfair advantage to those who do 100 cres raids and then trade with low level friends to get better IVs and a lower CP to get unavailable mon into leagues.

Everyone has already spent time, energy and their XLs for level 50. Not many people, I imagine, have level 40 stuff still. So, I don't see this happening though I have always hated the XL system.

They used to have master premier classic which I loved, but people (those 10% with all the XL pokemon) complained and it has never come back.

Another issue with Palkia and Dialga O and getting legacy move. You must have a chance of getting the move because compare with some of the other you mentioned is you can elite tm that to Yveltal, Landorus etc.

Niantic already said they would never bring back classic leagues sadly.. they could easily make xl rare candy more accessible though and add in bottlecaps to max out individual stats

The current Ultra League is the only one I excel in. I hate great league but everyone hypes that up as the best. I face so many losses in GL but in UL I just got to Ace easily

I also really like this idea. I’ve played for years, but don’t have the time or as much opportunity to raid for XL candy. There are a lot of lvl 40 pokemon in my storage waiting for an opportunity to be of use in GBL. Niantic already has UL and ML premier, where legendaries are banned. Why should opening up the option of a league without XLs be any different?

I find it more accessible for me to grind XL clefable than to grind good shadow IV feraligator. I can walk with clefable and in time I will get my XL. What about shadow marowak? I can't farm this pokemon. And if I can it's very hard to get right IVs. ML premier is very accessible cup. Yes with ML it's a "whale cup" but that's what some people want. In main games people might be intrested in comp pokemon and some are intrested in singles. Should I be punished for making my Talonflame lvl 50 in ultra league? Should I be punished for making my tevenant lvl 46? Shadows are much harder to obtain with good pvp ivis than raid bosses 15/15/15

I've had a lingering question nobody has answered yet, but isn't there a matchup algorithm that places people together who don't have these ridiculous level 50s? I don't mean the supposed algorithm that sees your Groudon Ho-Oh Rhyperior win streak and gives you Palkia, Kyogre and waterfall Prima. I ask because I think rankings are stopping people from playing when they would actually get a fair, honest matchup.

Wish they calculated cp different from the beginning. Why do i need a 0/15/15 junk pokemon for GL but 15/15/15 for master? Just make it so 4 star hundo is the best in all leagues. That or if i own the pokemon, let me use it in any league i choose. If i have a good feraligator, i have to pick which league i will use it in and that's it, can't use it for GL and UL. Just let me pick the league, pick the pokemon, and the game can scale it up or down to the CP required to play it. Then level 40 league could work too.

They should 100% make master league level 40 and change the coding or however they do it to make any pokemon 41 and above be converted to level 40 so you can still use them.

I actually had a better record in Master League this season than ever before--playing 0 legendaries and running Roserade of all mons 😂. It's fun to run off meta in Master League and mess with dudes running all legendary teams.

Please. Master League is completely inaccessible except to the biggest whales. I play every day (since launch) and I still barely have a team or two for it. On top of that the Dialga/Palkia Origin exclusive move situation is just completely inexcusable. Tf you mean I’m dropping all this money to raid the best IV’s only to get a hundo that doesn’t have the move and I can’t use an ETM to get them. (I got TWO hundo Palkia both without SR.) And lastly why am I playing this buggy/laggy game when TCGPocket runs (in my experience) as smooth as I expect it to? I love GO, I really do. But I’ve just had no motivation to play GBL lately and that sucks.

I think ML is really playable this year if you want to. Sorry, but the only IMHO excuse is I dont want to grind. A Rhyperior Florges Primarina team is more than playable with zero legendaries. 2 of them had Comm Days. You can also replace Florges with basically anything or most legendaries. Also Togekiss had Comm Day, so use that instead then. Also everyone has the same opportunities to get the rank 1 mon. But again, you need to grind for it. LE: also after they said they would no longer host ML Premier prolly 90+% powered up their level 40s to 50s. No thanks, I do not want to have to power up another one to level 40 now.

You're basically saying everyone else can grind to play current ML if they want but turn around and say you don't want to grind to play a hypothetical lvl 40 league. The people that have grinded to get mons to 50 for current ML would have 0 issue getting another to lvl 40 for this hypothetical.

You’re claiming the only excuse for people not playing ML is that they don’t want to grind, but at the same time the only reason you don’t want agree with a lvl 40 league is that you don’t want to grind and build another of something you’ve powered up to lvl 50, right? Not having/wanting to spend money to accelerate the grind or not being in an area where legendary raids are routine are legitimate barriers to powering up a pokemon to lvl 50. That aside, even if there are some more accessible pokemon like primarina, anyone who has such a limited selection of pokemon at lvl 50 will get bored with the ML much more quickly than a league where they have a variety of options and can still be competitive

GBL its just the same every season, same teams, same pokemons, the cups don´t have much variety a mean come on, so many seasons where every cup has being the vigoroth cup, and candy xl for master league takes forever if your are free player, also the cheating and the algorithm and the bug makes the game not be enjoyable that much. once i hit ace and get the elite tm i just stop playing.
