According to the kerrang interview we just got, they are working on the songs for EP 3 and 4 too alongside the second one. EP 3 has confirmed to be EDM/DnB and we also have gotten a slight taste of it, search BMTH "u know" snippet. Where as for EP 4, it's 100% confirmed to be heavy (Jordan says that it was kinda hard trying to implement heavy parts in EP 2 simply cause they want to focus that side more on the fourth EP). Some snippets that we got for it sound very CYB death core but they have still not specified which heavy genre is it

I agree. I love the new music but it feels safe. The choruses are bombastic and I love it but it does feel a little tame compared to even songs on amo. actually im gonna stay with what another reviewer said: experimenting with emo in this era is not playing safe. they definitely could mess up everything with this song and being tagged with other negative adjectives , but the song is so flawlessly executed that seems to be a "safe play" but honestly they did it amazing and they blended genres and made a bridge for a lot of different tastes. i've been following a lot BMTH a few years and i think this is one of their biggest steps

i was never really a BMTH fan back in the day. i got into them only a few years ago and while i admit the older stuff is what the hardcore would call "pure" i still enjoy the new stuff. As has been commented they are really like a new age linkin park. Although i would say they have slightly more range than that. this song gives me heavy emo vibes like MCR vibes in the chorus but obviously slamming the hyperpop into the verse. still a song to really stick in your head. if its catchy its prob a banger.

Same... Idk wtf BMTH has been doing. The only solid rock/metal albums to come out in the past year or so for me have been The Death of Peace of Mind and True Power. The genre in general has been lacking lately. BMTH generally always has a spot on that list but their recent singles have been very bland. Why are they trying to bring emo back? Who TF wants to bring emo back? When Strangers dropped there were tons of comments from people saying, "song saved my life," etc. It's sad to see this band go after such an audience. Anyway. Is what it is. Will be awaiting their return with heavy music if it ever happens at this point.
