They didn't "improve." They've always been good. He's losing his screams. Stuff like this puts a HUGE strain on your voice. So, over the years his screams have been less harsh, (from what I can tell,) and they've delve into more metalcore-ish/post-hardcore. I personally love both, but I prefer Sempiternal.

BringMeThyPizza I'm sick of seeing people saying that. Jesus. Screaming doesn't put a huge strain on your voice. He wasn't screaming wrong either. He just got softer, sometimes bands do that. He had a vocal coach that's a renowned screaming teacher, so no, he didn't hurt his chords.

rawr rawr your wrong. he absolutely did it wrong. and was told by medical professionals to stops creaming or he'd have to give up music. this was in 2009. a year before they released there third album. Oli Sykes and Danny Worsnop are the poster children for not taking care of your voice. I would know. I do vocals similar to both singers. and I do it correctly. and it still puts a strain on my voice. even with the correct technique. you're still gonna fuck up your voice. you're just prolonging the inevitable. ive been screaming for 6 years now. last year lost the ability to do sustained highs any more. that's how much of a strain it has put. from playing weekly. not cause of poor technique. just slowly but surely I'm losing the edge to my voice and I've had to change up my vocal delivery. I can still do highs. but I can't do 5 minutes straight of just highs. so just imagine being signed to a record label and constantly touring and it goes that much quicker.
