Imagine how the entire orchestra felt. They likely never get that type of feedback from an audience. It had to be mind blowing.

I might be unpopular, but I really thought BMTH did it better😏
@claires_epiphany3 жыл бұрын
It's perspective and expectation. I heard BMTH cover before I saw Billie perform it. Depends on mindset at the moment, if you watch and listen to it with your heart and love the artist, you just don't see any errors, only FEEL beauty in melody. For Oli, it was great, from me a fan that just loves him and the band's unique musical slant and flavor, I really really want Ernest to react and do what he does, better than any KZbinr, and that's to allow us to relive the joy of discovering greatness in music. 🤘🏻 Only love to ya buddy ✌🏼

9:19 This is why I love music. My interpretation was the opposite as in the person "kicked the chair" or took their life and the "we helped tie the rope" is talking about the outside forces being the cause of it as it fits the theme of the song imo. I definitely didn't think of it the way you did, but it's dope to see different interpretations. Great reaction!

So psyched you're getting into these dudes. I really think more people that are into rap and hiphop can appreciate stuff like rock and metal. At the end of the day, a lot of music is written about the struggles that people go through, and while rap's method is just straight spitting bars, telling it how it is and using the truth to tell the story, metal/rock uses melodies, lyrics, and the instruments to tell a story, and then screams to convey that pure raw anger, sadness, emotion etc. That's why bands like Falling in Reverse and the talents Ronnie Radke has work so well together. He uses EVERYTHING to tell those stories, and it works so well. BMTH has been killing it for like a decade though, and there are tons of people who have no clue.

Credit were credit is due, the reason why the vocals sound so good in this performance is in great measure thanks to the choir and to Jordan Fish's support as well. Don't get me wrong, Oli's voice *is* the sound of BMTH and I love it, but I am very aware of his shortcomings singing live, and I think any objective fan is as well. Plus he either had his vocal cords fucked up at the time of this performance, or he was recovering, but I think he wasn't 100% well, so Jordan's support allows him to drop lines early, or take breaks and prepare better for the screams. I think they managed a very smart / profesional way to patch up and support Oli's voice. Personally I think that's also something admirable.
