The question remains: why did they have to totally 'move on' from this stage in the 1st place? Many bands of that era have stayed put with their death core routes. At the very least, they could maintain some elements of it, and even play a few of the Count your blessings-era songs.. Otherwise it is kinda like a betrayal to the original fans, who helped prop them up in the first place. I'm not at all dismissive of their new stuff; I love it but I also want to hear them play the old stuff too. Because it's actually decent in its own right! :)

I totally agree with you, even though I got into Bring Me in 2011… I am a HUGE Count Your Blessings fan, well generally a huge fan of ALL of their stuff. They do need to calm down with playing the Sempiternal stuff and completely mix-up their setlist. More songs from Suicide Season other than just Chelsea Smile and Diamonds Aren't Forever, although I don't want to see those dropped from their setlist at all!!! After this performance last night, Oli said "I'm knackered, that's bloody tiring. That's why we don't play it anymore…" :')

Maaaaaaaan, the actual sempiternal is better than Suicide Season. They will not play deathcore again cause they have evolved. And, Oli hasn't power in his voice anymore, we see it there, he must lay and the ground and shout his head off to get a loud sound (and a bad one). I say this cause i listen to BMTH from Count your blessing. I prefer the deathcore too but BMTH can't play it anymore, that's why they evolved to metalcore and clean vocals. Imagine if they continued into deathcore with a voice like this ? And then, if they continued it and fired Oli for a better singer ? There will be no more of BMTH because Oli is THE image of BMTH, we can also see it on the video, the cameraman only shot Oli the whole video, and Curtis 3 seconds. Man, is just my thought. Dear BMTH, Take a second and look at everyone's reaction to this. Don't get me wrong, your new material isn't BAD, but I think it's important to realize that there are SO MANY fans of your's that really miss the old style, and they still love you, but they just aren't too into your new style. It's nothing against you, like I said, it's NOT bad music, it's just we don't listen to that style of music in general. This performance is great. The comments on the video aren't. 1. People who are commenting about "15 year old scene kids who wouldn't know this song" are fucking imbeciles. The vast majority of CYB-era BMTH fans were 15 year old scene kids at the time for god's sake. Oli was pretty much a scene kid! There's probably less of them now, so shut up. 2. Let the band fucking grow. This performance is a nice little nod to their past, but anyone who knows anything about music could see the vast growth in maturity that this band has undergone since then. The music now is FAR more cleverly written, and has way more substance lyrically. It's brilliant that these guys constantly reinvent themselves, rather than staying in such a niche genre such as Deathcore that leaves little room for creativity/originality. Also, it probably isn't the case, but I like to believe that part of the reason for this performance was to say "fuck you, here, we can still perform this stuff if we want to, but we CHOSE to change for the better."

Plus, I've seen these guys live 3 times in the past couple years, there are next to no scene kids there at all.
