The original song is much heavier, but since Oli damaged his voice from screaming incorrectly, he can’t really scream anymore. Still cool to see him pull it off from time to time. This is my favourite BMTH song of all time.

I used to live across the road from the guitarist. They also played a showa few years before in Nottingham (UK) at a tiny venue back in the day called junction 7 and they pulled half the ceiling down swinging on it 😂 (that was death core days)

Oli still has a hell of a growl in him. I’ve just always assumed it hurts his throat so much these days that he chooses not to put this kind of effort in except on certain occasions lol

Marcus West growling causes vibrations in a different part of your vocal cords than clean singing does. Going back and forth between both of them too much will tear apart your vocal cords much, so he just has to pick and choose when he growls. It gets tough for singers when they get a bigger catalog with more clean vocals.
