Lyrics:
teardrops
we hurt ourselves for fun
force feed our fear until our hearts go numb
addicted to a lonely kind of love.
what i wanna know..
is how we got this stressed out,
paranoid
everything is going dark
nothing makes me sadder than my head.
i’m running out of teardrops
let it hurt ‘til it stops
i can’t keep my grip
i’m slipping away from me
oh god, everything is so fucked
but i can’t feel a thing
the emptiness is heavier than you think.
i’m tripping on the edge
high as a kite, i’m never coming down.
and if you hear me
guess you know how it feels
to be alone
so how’d we get this stressed out?
paranoid
everything is going dark
nothing makes me sadder than my head.
suicidal, violent tragic state of mind.
lost my halo, now i’m my own anti-christ.

The problems with his thoughts, his demons, the drugs, sleep paralysis was cured by the band when they gave Oli their hands of help! Everything was dark until the band gave him the light! Amazing amazing amazing! Oliver fucking Sykes and BMTH dropped another bomb! This should be a proper studio album rather than a EP!

That's what I get worried about now when these musicians write songs like this. Sure, we can say it's just a song and just musicians trying to be relatable to its audience. But look at Chester Bennington. How do we know when these songs are a cry for help?

I love oly, have for about a decade, he’s been through a lot that’s for sure, but I don’t think any of the songs he writes lately are really directed towards him and how he feels, he’s been there and had a good perspective on it all, he seems also very happy in life in general, but I could be wrong, we all thought Chester was fine till it was too late…hope we don’t lose this guy…he’s kinda been my guide for a bit…🖤

"Teardrops" by Bring Me the Horizon is a song that delves into themes of pain, resilience, and personal growth. The track explores the inner turmoil and struggles that individuals face, particularly in moments of hardship and emotional upheaval. The lyrics, peppered with vivid imagery and introspective expressions, present a raw and honest portrayal of a person grappling with their own demons. The song's overarching theme revolves around the notion of tears and the metaphorical weight they carry. Tears, traditionally associated with sadness and vulnerability, are depicted as a symbol of strength and empowerment in "Teardrops." The lyrics suggest that shedding tears, although a sign of pain, can also serve as a catalyst for personal growth and self-discovery. Furthermore, "Teardrops" touches upon the concept of resilience and the ability to overcome adversity. It encourages listeners to embrace their struggles and use them as stepping stones towards personal transformation.

I dont mind the vocals, Oli sounds just fine, but the music is simply way too mainstream, boring and non-inspiring, at least for the likes of me it is. This stuff is made to please the masses, it has nothing to with metal anymore, and it's been like that for ages.. and that's fine, for a lot of people at least, but they've let down a lot of fans of their older stuff, just so they could make more with the newer.

Lyrically, visually and musically this is perfection. And the video, i find it all to be symbolic. For example at 2:53 it's like Oli's bandmates rescuing him, and there are multiple references to his ketamine addiction. But i also think this song is about those of us in this generation just going through the absolute worst. Shining a light on the withered and faded soldiers. This song reminds me of Sempiternal too (esp the song Empire) man this song is gonna be on repeat in my head i can tell. And its also funny how, this song came out at a time when I feel each of these lines, so intensely, it's almost tangible.

I know it’ll sound like I’m mad first but I searched long for an answer where this comes from what it is. Actually for Oli and my friend she told me she can’t move and she sees demons and things like that sometimes. I asked the lord himself for an answer a few minutes later some post appeared on my Instagram screen, it’s usual when I ask the lord that he answers in any form, it says that the demons are able to attack if we don’t take the shelter the lord is giving us. Christians can have this too if we’re too far from lord didn’t pray at night... it’s all true. Once When I read my Bible some friend from USA send me the exact verse I was reading. The lords sees us but he can only act and protect if we ask him. Plz have a try, think about I have no reason at all to lie to you man. God bless you hope you’ll stay safe and praying for you 🙏❤️

Lol...no. The only shade of Sempiternal in any of these 4 new songs was the breakdown in Ludens...and any remnants of There is a Hell and Suicide Season (and obviously Count Your Blessings) are totally absent. Other than that, these new songs, if anything, are a slightly heavier version of That's The Spirit and Amo. Now I love all 4 songs that they've released, but people need to stop comparing their new shit to Sempiternal because it's nothing like it lmao.

No matter how much you keep an eye on someone that's had suicidal tendencies, it takes 5 minutes for them to feel trapped and end it all. Everyone has a basal happiness. Depression causes this basal point to be lower than normal. All you can do is stop it from getting too low. It takes an actual doctor to bring the basal point back up. If you're reading this and you have depression, PLEASE just take a moment to open google and look at even online help. There's plenty out there.

Oliver grabbing one of his band members hands shows that they are there for him, once he got out of the water sinking thinking he had no escape no matter what, that made me smile so much that they have such a strong bond, that they would never leave him even in the harshest of times and I know he would do the same for them 🥺❤️💕
