This goes out for every artist. Have you ever realized that maybe the only reason why you don't like their 'newer' stuff is because you just don't relate to it like you did the songs/albums you do like? Maybe you were going through something in your life, or whatever it was, and it was just that the situation made you grasp onto that music. And when they release something different, or just new in general, you're expecting too much out of it because they're not always going to write things that are related to YOU. They write about their selves and their lives and their situations and feelings, NOT yours. You're just tagging along for the ride because you related to it. And you won't relate to every single thing. More often than not, the music isn't as bad as you make it out to be.

Don't you feel like it is better for them to make music that they love rather than forcing themselves to keep doing something else just because some people expect that, most likely resulting in half-hearted, mediocre songs? Of course they can't please everyone, but at least they are giving everything they've got to those who still enjoy them. For me the reason BMTH is still one of my favorite bands is the fact that they have changed so much since their first album, couldn't imagine myself saying the same if their every album was "just" another Count Your Blessings. I still like the old stuff as much as i used to years ago, but I'm happy they are doing something totally different nowadays.

I remember being here, the night it was released. I was in break at job, was working night shift at McDonald's. I was so fucking excited. I spend a few more minutes because i wanted to finish the song a few more times, so i could sing it in my head while working. I kept forgeting the lyrics so i was coming back to my phone every now and then to replay the beat and try to learn de lyrics by heart the same night it was released hahaha Its crazy to remember this. BMTH always teaches me something through their amazing music! On this one what I learned (from my perspective) is that enemies/fake friends stab you in the back (it hurts yeah, and most of the time you will not wonder why they did it, because you kind of were expecting it) but a true friend stabs in the front (you do not expect it at all.. and it will hurt SO MUCH MORE.) and that’s why it makes sense that in a true friendship/relationship/marriage, no one could ever hurt you as much as your partner/true friend. And no one will ever hurt them as much as you, because you and your partner/true friend know each other’s weaknesses unlike enemies.. and sometimes it is not necessarily a bad thing because, they hurt you just by being honest about something. And that could definitely help you to become better in some way or change a situation in order to make it better for both of you and viceversa. But some other times they stab you In the front by making a mistake that affects you, by betraying you, or saying something that they probably said because they were not thinking clearly at the moment. We are all human and we are all imperfect… we all make mistakes… and that’s how we learn. Anyway, that’s all I’ve got in mind and this is just my personal opinion.

You see, backstabbers come from behind, meaning you'll never know if or when they'll do it and gods does it hurt. Not only will it hurt, but you will most likely feel a deep hatred towards them. But true friends, you'll definitely see it coming. And even if you do know that eventually they will 'stab you in the front', you'd still do anything and everything for them. Hence the term; True Friends. This is true because when they usually stab you in the front, it means they'll hurt you in way no backstabber can. You'll still love them and treasure their memories, you won't ever be mad. This is because 'stabbing you on the front' often means that they'll hurt you involuntarily, for example; they die.
