Dan wouldn't look out of place in Tang dynasty in that costume. I'd imagine he's a travelling troubadour that came from the west through the silk road then settled in old Chang'An, slowly making his way up in Tang society, maybe got a job in the Imperial court as an Imperial musician or artist, and now he's retired as a decently well-off manor lord with his family. 😁😁😁 BTW Dan, you mentioned on your own channel that you might pop over to Singapore for a break. Hell from California. Having growing up across many USA states as an Asian-American in late 70s. I have come across a lot of Chinese and White Mixed races acorss the states.. And they are very beautiful and special. Xiao Toful is a very unique cool name. Boy he's going to grow up very handsome and enjoying 2 cultures. After all, China and USA will always going to be the only 2 great powers in world.
