All of these tutorials use D-ID. It has good results, but the free version has a watermark. Of course we remove it using an editing software, but then we cannot really use it in commercial projects. Hope they create a open source that does the same thing.

D-ID doesn't let me add my own avatar (using the free trial version, anyway). Can only choose from their avatars or generate a new one using their tool.

No that shouldn't matter, you could even take a link from an image you used on another server/private chat. I think it also might work if you upload on imgbb and grab the link there.
