What is the giant blue buffing pad you use on the rotary? You should link your products in the description and get a cut of when people buy it. Fantastic work as always. For the people shocked by the price, they have no idea how many hours these take, and the investment in the shop and equipment. I color sanded an Alfa spider, which is smaller than this 560, and it took about 60 hours to fully sand, polish and ceramic coat.

why dry ice the underside? you are just removing the cosmoline coating the factory sprayed to prevent rust and corrosion, for what? seems completely counter productive.

Haha, we restore those car to concourse quality. In this video you caused so much damage to that car. Please do not every touch another one of those cars. You completely took of all the factory undercoating off! Holy crap how do you not know you were wrecking that car. Might as well have used a sandblaster! This video is just sad how these amateurs are clueless!
@billwashburn8568 Жыл бұрын
I understand your point but you should know over time that protectant breaks down and can become sticky attracting contaminants and itself is counterproductive. So removing it is a good thing, however to your point needs to be reprotected with a more modern water based product. That care is a masterpiece and will be picked up by a collector for sure.

Such a pity for those horrible USA bumpers
@ronalddean36304 ай бұрын
I am not in love with them either, especially on the 114 and 115. But they have a purpose, to protect the body of the vehicle from drivers that are preoccupied with all of the electronic crap they are putting into the cars now, or anything else one should not be doing when behind the wheel of a car. To spend $75,000 on a new one and then have to buy some tacky piece of rubber to hang down from the trunk to keep the car from getting scratched up is just ludicrous to me. If I move to the country, I might convert to the Euro bumpers. If I decide to go for a 115 or a 116, I ONLY want Euro bumpers on those models.

Wow, that was awesome! I got lost in it. Too bad you are not on the East Coast. My vehicle doesn't need everything that you did, but I found out today I will need to have some work done on my SL. Monday I had the horrible aftermarket fender trim removed. It was 80% successful, meaning damage to the body. Alas, whoever installed them did a terrible job. They forced the rubber seal into the bodyside moulding, creating a pocket for crud to get in on the front passenger side and start a small rust hole. Now I am wondering if I should have someone pop off all the moulding, the badge plate, and the trunk lid moulding so I can have a look. I will probably to this when I take it in. The interior is pristine, Only one small dent in the rear bumper. But I am considering the dry ice cleaning for the underside and the engine. Curious though, 🤔if the car is going to be driven (no rain or snow) what is the point of dry ice cleaning the underside? What did you use on the air cleaner cover? It looked amazing when you finished it. Thanks!
