Bringing a Tandberg 641x to working order. \\ Shock Hazard Corner

This is my late grandfather's tape machine that's been sitting for who knows how long. I recently pulled it out of our basement to use as a recording device for instruments and to play around with tape delays and looping. It's going to need a recapping eventually since the sound gets a little goofy after about an hour or so of it running.
0:00 - overview and cleaning
0:49 - NOS tapes
1:35 - new belts

how did you create a belt out of a straight piece of rubber, or are there rubber kits you can buy.

I made the belt out of a length of Buna-N O-Ring. Still holding up just fine too.
