Lol Pete, when my husband was alive, God rest his soul, we would go places where people knew us, grocery store, etc, he would tell people that he didn't know me and our kids! He would say he just picked us up on the side of the road (all in good, clean fun). Of course everyone knew who we were!😂

Life is so much more gratifying when you pick the right partner! Most of us aren’t so fortunate. We choose, when we are young, a partner for all the wrong reasons. As we age our criteria changes, but as my old grandfather would have said, “ too late we get smart”.

Pete, my wife made a great analogy to you and your channel last week: she said that you remind her of Fred Rogers. I love you, channel Pete and Hillary!! I love seeing the two of you working together on the farm. My mom and dad would the same way... if it was a job to do they shared it to get it done quicker. I agree with you. Also Pete on Keeping things simple. I think wisdom comes with aging and I know for myself I have definitely simplified my life in the last 15-20 years…. just for example when I had guests coming for a meal or weekend, everything had to be perfect and everything had to be beautiful and artistic on the table when I served the food and so forth. I realize at some point I was exhausting myself unnecessarily because everybody else was visiting and laughing, and I was cleaning up and working or getting ready for the next round. I don’t do that anymore. I might at Christmas time, but for the most part throughout the year, I keep my meals simple and I’ll tell you what, Pete I want you grilled those pork chops and less than 10 minutes and I’m thinking that’s how I should be food in a short amount of time. God bless you both and we’ll see you next time on a wonderful video… By the way, Pete, I love to laugh at your jokes…. Apollo - G.😀❣️😁 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We are getting the kids ready to end the school year and a perfect video to show to get them excited about what they'll be doing in the fall, especially since we ordered their chicks today! Some of them screamed ( as usual) when you once again electrocuted yourself. It's really cool for them to see you and Hilarie setting up the chicken paddock just like they do! The alien joke? My grand dad's friend from 5 streets away had another friend who used to know a bloke who swore by rolling your left trouser leg up, standing on your head, covered in marmite, singing bat out of hell in Swedish- to do absolutely bugger all to keep flies away from rabbits. So now you know 😂😂😂😂😂

Hi Pete & Hilarie. Thanks for letting us hang with you on your farm. Dandelion greens are delicious! In my very young days Nonna would come to visit and we would walk down one side and back up the other side our country road picking dandelions. You have to get them before they flower. She was equipped with a long knife and my job was to carry the large bowl. She would circle the dandelion with her knife, pull it out, shake the soil off and toss it in the bowl. Once back home she washed them off outside with the garden hose. For dinner Nonna dressed the greens with a simple olive oil, vinegar and salt & pepper. When I tell people they can eat dandelion greens, they look at me very strangely. I use no chemicals on my lawn and love the greens. I’m wondering, isn’t dandelion wine made with the flowers? Thanks for sparking my childhood memory🥬🥗🙂

I've found over the years that if I aerate the pasture once every four years it helps our fields tremendously with yields. Lime every third year. Multi mixture fertilizer once in a while. We add manure to our fields so we only use commercial just to even put our fields.
