The fact that she was already a marketing executive is key to her brand’s explosive growth, along with the timing of starting her business during 2020 at a time when demand surged for Black representation in products from Black-owned companies. Not to diminish her considerable talent, drive and ambition! I would have loved to hear more about the marketing angle of how she brought awareness to her artworks and her brand.

This is so inspiring for me. After being in the corporate world as a legal secretary for 24 years, I'm finally getting back into painting and now graphic design on Fiverr. I had a few stores interested in my painting being printed on various merchandise items, but it didn't go anywhere because it seemed not worth it to spend money I didn't have on a ton of inventory to send the stores, not knowing if anyone would buy it. How did you go about getting your prints in stores? I sell prints on RedBubble, but they do all the printing and shipping and I make a TINY commission on each sale.
