The NICU world is one I didn't expect to be in this long, and we have all learned and grown so much over the last 3 months. This has been such a hard experience but we are SO thankful to finally have our girl Soleil home with us. We are fully ready to take on whatever the world throws at her! She is truly the strongest little thing and has blown us all away with how resilient she is. Everyone in the NICU always said she was such a feisty fighter and it's true! I don’t even know how to word what I want to say, nicu mom here (we did 6 weeks with one twin 8 weeks with the other) and the way you have carried yourself, balanced yourself, fought for your girl, I mean I have had the utmost respect for you and your husband this whole time. Girl I was crying 5 seconds in. This journey is so close to home for us. My 34 weeker had so much harder of a time than doctors thought she would. As a NICU mom myself I cried this whole video. I only stayed 12 days in the nicu with my baby girl (who is now 3 ) so I cant even imagine what you went through. I remember the day we got to leave thinking its my turn! Watching your video makes my heart explode seeing you guys get your turn to go home! I am so happy you have your baby home! Congratulations on bringing your baby girl home! Just know that you sharing about your beautiful medically complex baby girl made me smile and cry and I’m glad you shared your story about Soleil. Your strength throughout this difficult time shined through this video. I’m a 2x NICU mama from Central California and my almost 3 year old son is medically complex and was life flighted to Ohio where we actually lived in the children’s hospital for 374 days until we were able to bring him back home last year. He has a G-Tube too. Don’t stop sharing about your journey. There are a lot of medical mamas who can stand with you and give you support. 😊

Wow this really touched me. Our baby was in the NICU for 3 months as well. When you said that we don’t give enough credit to how strong and resilient kids are I felt that so much. Its so true!! When I slow down and think about how much she has gone through it makes me cry. One of the nurses who took care of her is now a part of our family too, and Im so grateful for that.
