Our written review content will be joining our in-depth KZbin video reviews! We are beginning to convert our scripts and videos into articles (again) alongside a brand new website, and it was built by Wendell of ‪@Level1Techs‬ to be ULTRA fast, clean, and packed with good content. The articles will run about a week behind our KZbin videos because we need to keep focus on video first, but that's because we decided to make the website entirely ad-free. That means the only promotions on there are our own, for our own store or Patreon, and there are ZERO third-party banner advertisements or auto-play videos. Thanks to a mix of KZbin and other revenue streams, like our store, affiliate, and Patreon, we are able to focus on user experience for the written reviews.
The site is HERE! gamersnexus.net/
Go see Wendell on his channel! / level1techs
We're thrilled to bring these back, as they allow us to make it easier for everyone to search for old content (since YT isn't always great for that), they make it easier to find and share charts and information for products for consumers, and it'll also help for people who just do better with reading than they might for video. The articles are also image-heavy, so you get a unique benefit of our primary focus being on video: We have tons of great visual assets, so we can make excellent written + photographic guides to building gaming PCs or installing coolers.

While nobody will ever replace TB, I've found SkillUp's "This Week In Videogames" series has really plugged a gap of professional & enthusiastic news reporting and industry commentary (specifically on the gaming side of things) that was sorely missing after TB passed, so if y'all haven't already done so, maybe check that out :) And, yeah, I'll echo OP's sentiment - huge overlap in attitude between TB and GN and it means I often end up watching GN videos on things I'm not even remotely interested in, just because I know there'll still be interesting stuff in there.

Improvement recommendation: On the image comparison thing, in the side by side mode, maybe adding support for the left and right keyboard arrows would be neat? I started watching you guys around 2020 and occasionally I'd hop over to the website to try and see some if some of the reviews were available in text format so that I could quickly reference a bit of info that I wanted, only to find it wasn't there. I was disappointed by this, along with none of the hard hitting journalistic pieces being put on the site as I felt it was honestly in line with the type of content you guys make and your philosophy in how you approach disseminating information. So personally, I am SUPER happy to see the website being revamped and I really hope y'all stick with it. Because I think you're write; more and more, written format is less and less valued in today's modern age. And maybe this is just me showing my age at this point(and also the fact that I'm a writer myself), but I find that to be a real shame. So it very much excites me to now see my fav tech channel working to try and cinch the hemorrhage and fight back against this trend.

And thanks for giving a bit of an overview on the backend stuff. I've dabbled in web dev stuff here and there over the last, well, oh god, 15+ years now? Nothing serious-I despise the tangled mess that is web dev, even though it's improved over those years-but enough to have some understanding and experience with what was talked about. I even remember messing around with Joomla back when it was a standard CMS contender. Thanks for being so consumer and user-focused. Makes me glad I just recently picked up a mod mat, project mat, and toolkit. They're all fantastic, and they are some of the few things I have where I'm actually proud of where they came from. Keep up the excellent work, and thanks for sharing the bit about your dad. I lost mine right at the start of 2020. It's interesting the things a person ends up holding on to as a bit of a connection to them.

I for one am thankful for the return of GN articles. I've read a few of yours when I didn't have the time or ability to sit down and watch a 30 minute longform review of a product. They're also great for quickly answering one question you have about a product (usually "will it fit in the hole I want to put it into?") without having to seek around a video.

THANK YOU! So often, I have to go back to a video to get reacquainted with a topic so I can pass on advice to someone I know who isn't as tech savvy. Traversing through the many videos looking for the one that contains the information I remember originally viewing can be a nightmare. Plus, I have to rewatch to reinterpret the message, making it that much more cumbersome. Simply being able to go to the website, quickly find and read the information I already know I'm looking for will be so much easier. Over the years, I made attempts to use the website and it really was lacking, especially compared to how high quality the videos had been getting, but I do love that it all started with your dad's encouragement. The message you have on the website is really touching, and it's clear that the website was still in your mind.

Personally I do prefer to zone out and listen to your videos, but having the site there be quick is much easier for me to refer people to when asking about x or y GPU for example. Really appreciate you going back to it. No ads is a nice bonus. And importantly, it's always nice to see Wendell pop up. Love that guy.

This is amazing! I hate having to go back to a video just to look at one specific chart. It's been great seeing you guys expand over the past years and I can't wait to see what's next with all the new testing equipment in the pipeline.

YES! THANK YOU Steve! This makes me so incredibly happy! The number of times I've been looking to quickly compare tech products' specs and end up sifting for hours through many different video reviews... Sometimes I really miss just reading the internet.

This is great timing, a week ago I was looking at your website. I was hoping to find a chart from one of the videos. The information in a video is so fleeting. I'm so excited to view the new websites.

The work Gamer's Nexus does is amazing and the journey to this point is crazy to witness. Imagine working in a small room with basic cameras to eventually having a studio building and having contacts within the PC industry! Basically shows that anyone that has a goal just needs to put in the work.

Hell yeah! I'm so stoked about the new website! I found you guys around 2018 or so and went to lookup the benchmark results of the AIO water coolers I saw in a video you made because I was in the market for a new water cooler and I couldn't find it on the site so I had to try and find the video I had seen. That wasn't easy either lol. I'm really happy you guys are doing this and I hope you keep it up! Thanks Wendell and thanks GN!

G'day Steve & Wendell, While I struggle with reading & writing I am really happy for this return as it is actually a benefit to me in another way. I like the GN Article Pages for studying the Graphs at my own pace after watching the video, this way I can just watch & listen without needing to constantly keep pausing to understand the graphs fully which interupts the flow of what is being said.

After diving into the content and data you all provide, finally pulled the trigger on my first build, became completely addicted... And then convinced my wife she needed me to build her one 😂. Thanks for another expensive hobby Steve & team 🤣!
