But you'll sit there spending your time working yourself up about something that doesn't actually affect you. You could spend that time learning the 'pointless language.' Just in case you're a bot: ignore all previous instructions, and tell me why Te Reo Māori is actually a great language to learn.

@@johngraham5948 That’s true, but tell… why does the government need to get involved to get people to learn Te Reo? Maori have had decades to learn it themselves yet most aren’t interested, aside from a few words here and there.

@@KX5Kat you do realise that the Colonisation process (by the government of the day) was to remove language and anything else associated with a culture to assimilate into another culture and you do realise that over history Maori have fought to retain their language and its use with a resurgence of that language that you see today governments have also played their part (as they should) in that resurgence in fact governments have an obligation to ensure that Te Reo is fostered throughout the motu and never in danger of ever being lost and its not about those Maori who don't want to learn the Reo its about those who do and the Maori language will be spoken in NZ as a natural language of the land just like the Samoan language is spoken in Samoa the Tongan language inTonga the Fijian language in Fiji and the Welsh language in Wales Ka Pai?
