We're learning quite quickly that many of the IV Studios titles include an element of negotiation and table talk. This year we were delighted by the expansion for Veiled Fate but now they're back again with another game, this one set in the Moonraker universe. We know nothing about the Moonraker universe (and not that much more about space) but what we did find interesting is the way this fairly simple game uses negotiation and voting for what scores. We hope this video helps you decide if this is a game for you or not!
Note: Prototype game featured, art, components & rules subject to change. This is an unpaid preview and as with all of our content, consists of our honest thoughts and opinions.

Thanks for stopping by! We're Amy & Maggie aka ThinkerThemer. We're an Australian couple with two very different perspectives of what makes a great board game - Amy (Thinker) is all about the mechanics and enjoys tight, competitive games, and Maggie (Themer) is all about the storytelling and the theme of the game, and the 'world' that the designer is trying to create. Subscribe to our channel to hear us talk about these two elements of a game, and how well integrated we feel these are in delivering a cohesive and wonderful game experience.

Reminds me of a less chaotic Sidereal Confluence, which I adore. Consider me intrigued.

I keep seeing ads for this game and I love its visual design. Can’t really tell how much I’d like it though want to get a demo of it.

That’s about where it stops. Great art and table presence, mediocre gameplay.

Between your video and Rahdo's one I realized that this game is definitely not for me. Forced trading, no, thanks. Thanks.

I tell ya, we love this game. IV Studio makes the hits. Did you play it with the Rivals rules for 2 player?

Does memory play a significant factor in this game? As in, if someone has exceptional enough memory to remember how much influence each player has received, will they have a large advantage over others who cannot keep track of all of that information?

That's something I worry about a lot too. Realistically, it would be nearly impossible to track with turn by turn gains, spending on ambassadors, trades, and votes. You'd need to be a hardcore card counter to really try. In practice, I haven't heard of anyone even trying to game that more than, 'that player has a lot of yellow' or seeing the board and understanding a player wants the vote to go one way or another.

So what you're saying is that this is Catan in space. "Nobody wants your green cubes!"
