Brown, Went to a party with some mates, blacked and woke up on a beach that was somehow still in suburbia, while i walked home i saw Rezz doing a DJ set in the middle of an intersection with cars trying to drive all around her. Then when I got home there was a line out the front with a bouncer like a club and I had to convince him it was my house to get him to let me in. Also I was naked for most of it but no one noticed or addressed it so it was chill

Might be a hot take, but to me, Playdate is an objectively better podcast than Almost Friday. It’s consistently funny, seamlessly organized with different segments and the hosts are always well prepared. Lauren can disappear into space sometimes, but she’s likeable and keeps the show moving. Almost Friday still has its moments, but the characters are hit or miss (you can tell when they phone it in), Liam and Angus run bits into the ground and Emily is … a lot. The guys also have a tendency to clam up around guests (excluding Luke Null, obviously).

I love almost Friday significantly more, however I love this podcast as well. They are just completely different from each other. Made for different types of people. I don’t think comparing them is fair. Almost Friday is more unpredictable which is why I like it. I think this podcast caters to people that like organization more

I think they both are great. I think i prefer AF slightly, but it depends i suppose. This ones definitely more structured and stays on course better, but i like the chaos of AF. I cant argue that Emily kinda derails a lot and doesn’t offer much, where as Lauren definitely keeps things on track. I love the characters on AF tho and i disagree about them clamming up with guests. What i do like about playdate more than AF is i think they have more interesting/ unique segments, but i love the self deprecation/ dark humor of AF, PD is more lighthearted.
