Two great guys. This was a great video! I have a hard time letting go from 2 hands to 1 hand. It’s almost like when I am holding 2 hands, I feel like am married to the handle with those 2 hands. That can cause an issue because I get jammed up when the ball is sped up at my chest. Just need to drill this 2 to 1 handed switch. Keep up the awesome content.

Great content as usual! Two questions: 1. Are you generally using same technique on 2hbh dink vs drive or is it like forehand where drives contact is a bit more away from the body to create space for more wrist lag? 2. Curious if either you or zane are playing with changing grip on 2hbh speed up (ie eastern on the non dominant hand). Also, random idea....i find this angle to be really great for capturing kitchen exchanges. Wondering if might be useful to have a video on what equiptment/angle setups to use for recording our own play if we dont have pro grade equiptment.

How long of a handle is ideal for the two-handed backhand?

What grip is the right hand in? Do you get to sit eastern and just add the second hand? Curious what the hands are doing when at any second you have to decide between, FH - BH - 2HBH.

I sit continental right hand, and just add my left on top. Makes it easy.

If I have time to place my hands for a two handed backhand, I have enough time to switch hands. I much prefer to just switch hands (same motion, same amount of time). By switching hands I have much greater reach, much more power, and better accuracy. Basically I have two forehands, much better. I learned this playing handball …. obviously no backhands in handball, just two forehands. Try it you might like it. (I do play the backhand sometimes when dinking and in firefights😊😊 …. But not from the baseline).

I think it takes more time to do that, and definitely would not recommend that when volleying.

It's just two guys hitting the ball back and forth while shooting the breeze with the occasional text overlay of some of the recently spoken buzzwords. This video almost feels like it was created by AI.

When to use 1H vs 2H and the advantages of each. 0:27 Z: "When in hands battles, I'm prepared for 2H. Default is 2H because of stability and maneuverability." 1:00 Drill explanation -- At some point, as the ball is farther right, you need to go to 1H. 1:32 Drill 1:43 B: "That thing's coming off that thing dude" 1:54 B: "You know what, that's really good dude, I haven't gotten to that point yet. I've been trying to add the two-hander on. I haven't gotten to the point where I'm here and then I'm sliding here." 2:04 Z: "That's one of the hardest part of the drill. It helps you decide where that spot is for you." 2:30 B: "In your opinion, or when you're playing, you can slide right and stay backhand, or go to 1H. When do you decide that?" 2:42 Z: "For me, leaning and using 2H is option #1. Sometimes the ball is too fast. It's faster to go to 1H. I use 1H when I can't use 2H" 3:07 B: "So it's a time thing. If you have enough time, 2H. If you don't have enough time, 1H." 3:23 Ad for training program (This is 100% fine with me. I'm 100% sure your training programs are excellent, not being sarcastic) 4:08 More hitting of backhands volleys back and forth. 4:52 B: "You talked about Control, maneuverability, and more power with your left. So when would you use 1H volleys instead of 2?" 5:05 Z: "I use 2H if I can set it up. The time to use 1H is for reach. If a ball is really far out wide. 5:51 Drill explanation. Use 1H if hitting a volley, use 2H if letting it bounce. 6:07 Drill 6:31 Talk about topspin 6:47 Talk about being ready for a speedup with 2H. If it's not a speedup, you have time to take your hand off and use 1H. 7:22 Drill 7:50 That's 2-in-1? 8:17 Drill 8:35 B: "What would you say is your technique? How would you teach people that shot?" Didn't really explain what shot it was. 8:48 Z: "That's a pretty involved shot and a loaded question, might be a whole video." Explains several things about that shot. 9:54 Z: "What I'm most passionate about is that you should be using 2H when dinking. If I dink with a 1H BH, everybody knows it's going to be a dink. With 2H, it's unpredictable." 11:07 B: "I'll feed you 3 balls, try to make them look the same, topspin dink on one, speed up, or do something else." 12:01 B: "For the speed up, where does the power come from?" 12:20 Z: "The power and stability comes from left hand. Drill with hitting just the left hand." 13:16 Drilling 13:30 Talking about follow-through, options for where to attack 14:06 Drill explanation -- Going to dink everything to Z's BH, Z will use 1H flick volley, 2H counter, off-the-bounce speedup, and topspin dink 14:46 Drill 17:00 B: "Final thoughts?" 17:17 Z: Use 2H in quick exchanges and off-the-bounce to conceal attacks, and use 1H for reach. Today, some people use just one or the other, but likely in the future people will have and use both. 17:57 B: Outro
