I have seen a lot of reset videos and think this is the first one that focuses so much on widening the stance and having solid legs which is super helpful. What I like most about this video is you are coaching someone who isn’t already a 4.0+. You can see and learn so much from seeing a less advanced player making mistakes and learning from teaching points. Thanks Corbin for being that person! Would love to see more like this.

Yes. Having widening the stance and getting low come up multiple times really drove it home for me. Very good.

These types of videos for me are a winning formula. Having a player of this level and you guiding them thru the motions of form, technique etc. Great video! Thank you for the amazing content

The modeling of moves with a short explanation is super useful. To the error and then the correct movement is worth a 1000 words. I learned so much when you directly named the error and explain the why the error correction is beneficial. I plan to watch this YT channel more often.

Stance (lowerer) is as important as paddle moves. More easier for someone of shorter stature than a taller player. Taller player can reach wider balls. ( Longer arms).overall, to play higher levels it come down to getting low and that can take a lot from the thighs. Gym strength training or body weight squats can help.

Fantastic! Come to Fla or NC! Question High bounce balls to my backhand in transition? When I hit them hard they come back and when I try hit soft I tend to pop it up a little What shot should I focus on?
@BrionesPickleball
@BrionesPickleball Жыл бұрын
Sound like you need to step back and create a little bit more space when hitting them soft. If driving, you have to drive it low to the wings

Only complaint of the video would be the audio, sounds muffled and kinda like you did an amazing perfectly timed voice over. Something about the lack of any music, ball noise, and kinda weird crispy ness and audio bugs that occur sometimes.

Yo Jordan it’s Seth again, could you at some point make a video on speed ups again? This is the issue I am having and maybe you can help. When I speed up there is a lot of times we’re my opponent will block the speed up and it pops up. But sometimes that pop up is a little high so either A) I swing at it usually resulting in either a out ball or a bad counter to there counter or B) They hit it over my reach/head causing me to be in a very awkward position. What are some tips for capitalizing on these types of plays? It seems to me that there is no time to take a step back to get a better shot.

Is there any real advantage to using 2-hands?
@BrionesPickleball
@BrionesPickleball Жыл бұрын
Of course, for most players it’s power, and for others it’s control. Most pros use two handed shots for both.
