If the general public were allowed to vote for the host cities of these events rather than the companies themselves, I think the 1992 Summer Olympic Games would’ve been awarded to either Brisbane, Australia or Birmingham, England. Both were using mostly already-existing facilities, and both bids were particularly strong.

@@harrisionstan3773 It all depends on how the funding is being spent. More on much needed infrastructure, maybe a new arena. If Suncorp Stadium gets a retractable roof, there's a potential 2 "arenas" right there. Have events in Sunshine Coast - Brisbane - Gold Coast. Brisbane may need a new athletics venue, but maybe QEII could still be used?

I was thinking very much the same thing. I was also thinking how much the bid for 2032 actually owes to this one. I suppose in the current bid video they'd show the trainline from the airport and the busway....lmao.

This bid was not enough good for that times.Barcelona was very revolutionary,as they incorporate a heavy urban transformation and we can remember that the 1988 Summer Games was on Korea.

@@jackmcfakie2552 much of 2032 project comes from of a mixture of 1992 and 1996 lost bids along the 2018 Commonwealth Games projects.Tokyo and Rio reciclated the lost projects with some novelities.I
