There are no homeless people because they moved them into hostels. This is why its cleaner lately. Always cleaner than melbourne and sydney, those places are dumps.

25 years ago (in 1995) when I visited LA and SF, New York, and Chicago, it was very clean too like Australia. But, when I visited again the same cities in 2019, the situation deteriorated so much. So much rubbish and homeless people everywhere in those cities. You could find syringes everywhere along the back lane and dustbins. Maybe that is the result of liberalism open door policies.

I have lived here for over 50 years and absolutely love it! But, most Australians think it's a backward, boring dump. It's ironic that foreigners can see it's beauty. And recognise it as a clean, safe, vibrant city but Aussies can't. I'll bet their perception will change in 2032 when they'll all yell oi, oi, oi like Sydney bogans when Brissie hosts the Olympics.
