I LOVED this video! The way you explained it all was easy for my brain to grasp it. I am a visual learner but even that sometimes is hard for me. I have struggled with a learning disability since I was in grade school and I am 45 now so crafting of any kind tends to give its challenges. I am still new to crochet, just a few months in, and I have been wanting to try something with granny squares. Thank you so much for this! Thanks for this Kayla! I'm not a fan of square blankets so much, so this is a great tutorial as I avoid grannies as I just don't want another square blanket. Your teaching method ensuring you show where the stitches go in the first method is so helpful! Nice tutorials Kayla. I like that you showed both ways of making a granny rectangle. I usually do my joins in the corners themselves as it makes it easier for me instead of slip stitching to the corner if using the same yarn. But I've done it the other way too. That's what's great about our craft it can be done in more than one way. I do love the "blues" blanket as it's my favorite color but those pinks are very pretty too. Thanks again and take care. Last night I was thinking, I really want to try Kayla’s version of the rectangle granny blanket. I hope I saved it! When I left to run to the store I had you on my tv, continuous play. Love the granny square idea. I saw a center in a blanket that was rectangular that had twelve 6 round grannies , 6 of one color,6 of another color put together with a cross shape. The cross in one color, the surrounding grannies in the other color. Then just go around with the granny stitch till you reach your desired size. I don't like the strip center, I'll be using the little grannies, thank you😊
