I was lucky to witness this last night sitting outside at sunset on the Somerset levels! Absolutely spectacular ❤

Drew me in every step of the way. Not only a visual delight but the commentary was stimulating also. Is it possible that their coming together is sonic as well as visual. Whatever the reality I can see why it put a smile on your face. All the best. Mark

Ham Wall is a great site for birdwatching, along with Slimbridge. If you're lucky you might see or hear a bittern in the reeds.

L W I was talking to the RSPB volunteers there for ages about how the Starlings steal the spotlight at Hamwall and the Bitterns are always forgotten about. I didn't see or hear them when I was there but one day I'd like to make a film about them.. They're beautiful creatures!

Very cool! I spent my early years in Dorset Somerset, Had to look it up on google maps but Yetminster my home town is just a little south! Brings back some great memories with the snippets of rolling fields and green hills. Starlings here in Canada are considered to be a pest/Invasive species Its interesting that their population is declining in Britain to the point of being put on the at risk list.

Michael Rowlandson did you know, Starlings were introduced to Newyork by a Shakespeare enthusiasts who wanted to share all the Wildlife in Shakespeare's works with everyone. From there they spread all the way to Canada causing loads of damage!

That's super ironic that something so beautiful such as Shakespeare could create so much destruction lol. Going to be watching some more video's tonight!
