100% roll out of ES buses (almost!) on route 307

UPDATE: Friday 24th May did indeed see a 100% allocation of ES buses, right up to last bus.

Very much so, it's actually quicker at night to work with a traditional bus (like our DW or T) than it is with one of these

It’s cool to see the 307 is now fully electric. I do remember the 307 had a weekend night service previously before the pandemic & hasn’t returned since. The 307’s night service I have heard didn’t pick up too many passengers unlike some other weekend night services like the 34.

Assuming they all come at once then it should benefit us. At the moment, if there were a couple of ES's off the road then we could get stuck with a diesel.

Nice video Peter, good to hear about 307 becoming fully electric. I've seen DW500-505 being transferred to Dartford and Grays garages as they're were on loan for the routes at Enfield. North London areas are starting to become electric soon.

So the ES’s (Wright streetdeck electroliners) have come into full swing. It’s nice to see that Enfield finally put the charging infrastructure into full action here by making sure the ES’s were charged and raring to work the 307. I have to say arriva’s look lovely as at least you guys still get to keep the Arriva Brick Moquette and not some lifeless tfl moquette on them. I cannot wait to get a ride on these and see the 279 soon getting them once Enfield get the infrastructure ready for when it gets their batch

I imagine once the 279 electrics turn up it should make things a little easier for the shunters to allocate the late buses. Although I still cant see where they will install the additional chargers, other then the right hand side of the forecourt

They deffo need at least 40% if you used 18% for that shift mentioned. Only say that bc if you drain them below 20% too often, the batteries will get worse. Either way, as you say, surely its not too difficult to charge enough in the evenings 😂

It's a safety feature. It's because the buses are technically silent, the sound is to alert hard of hearing people that a vehicle is close by. The sounds should stop at around 15mph as by that speed the bus should be away from the pavement and out in to the road.

Good to see the 307 fully electric, i wonder how long itll take before these 23 regs start appearing on other routes like the 279, 349 and even 121. The 279/307 will likely intermix as well with the frogfaces and the vision zero faces. What were the LJ11 DWs (DW401-415) like when you had them on the 349? I recall they went to AR and are now at Tunbridge after they were withdrawn in the summer of 2022, i presume due to unreliability

These ES's wont stray to other routes, you might see the odd one stray once the full 279 allocation is received. Can't really comment on 401-415, like all our buses they cab be hit and miss, good one week and crap the next

DW414 is actually the last one standing, i can just see that one remaining in your garage as a spare tbf, dont think itll go to the 158 as those ex-264 62 reg DWs are leaving E soon foe the 158. With the ES, with the rollout issues on the 307, yeah ur right that theyll just stick to the route until the 279 goes electric too. When the 279 receives its vision zero faces, you must be glad to see the back of those 61 reg Ts now given its been mentioned that theyre horrid to drive. Im surprised that the 61 reg Ts havent appeared on the 191 at all, any reason why apart from the blinds ofc?

​@@BristolREah yes i know the Ts are too old for the 191s, just wanted to know why they dont make appearances on the route. I can see they appear more frequently on the 121, 307 and 349 though and ur garage isnt too strict with LTs on the 349 as it always sees conventional DW/T buses which is nice. Im glad to see the 121 retained with the existing DWs for 3 years though, hope to see the 191 retained too if its up for tender. Im surprised that hybrids such as 62 reg HVs or even newer werent used for the 121 given lots will be spare off the 41, 141, 243 and 341 tbh.

@@zfs.59 They simply don't have the blinds. Arriva didn't want to spend extra money fitting new blind sets to contain the 191, as there were more than enough DWs, so they just upgraded those. The T's have 307 on the blinds from when we previously had the route

Some are going to the 158 to release its own share of LK66 HVs which it had got from PVR cuts to the 259 to the W3's hybrid allocation. The rest, im not sure but some could stay put at GY given their DWs are becoming unreliable with 2 62 regs already there covering for defective 09/59 regs

You're supposed to call it in at 20%, only uses 10% on a complete rounder so unlikely to be subbed over depending on what mileage the bus has left to do. I have brought them back in at the end of my spell of duty showing 6%
